*Oh look! We updated! Is this a miracle or what?!*

Estelle Blofis's first crush was a girl.

It was in middle school where she met Tessa. She had been sitting with her friends when one of them introduced the new girl. Estelle had a hard time trying not to turn completely red and keeping her heart rate from going on a mile-long run, but everyone could see that she liked her.

Everyone other than Percy Jackson, that is.

Annabeth could see that Estelle liked someone at school, judging from her dorky grin and a red face by the end of the day, but wouldn't talk about it.

But Percy? Boy, was he clueless.

Finally, Annabeth gave up on trying to be quiet. Estelle was distracted the whole time she was studying and had ended up doodling flowers and hearts at the corner of her math homework. "Who is it?" Annabeth asked. "Hmm?" Estelle asked, snapping back to reality.

"Who are you thinking about?" asked Annabeth.

"Uh oh um nobody?"

"Don't lie to my face, Stella."

"I don't know what you mean."

"Mhmm" Annabeth left it there.

A week later, she came home crying. Annabeth was the only person there. Percy was taking a shower, and Sally and Paul had gone out for lunch. Seeing Estelle crying, Annabeth quickly shut the book she had been reading and wrapped Estelle in a hug. "Do you want to talk about it?" she asked tentatively. Estelle nodded.

That was how Estelle found herself in her room, hugging Annabeth, who held a box of Kleenex. Hearing Estelle talking about Tessa, Annabeth was reminded about her stupid crush on Luke. "So, what's the matter? I mean, you guys seem great friends." Estelle looked down and muttered something. "What?" Estelle looked at Annabeth. "She doesn't like girls..." "How do you know that?" Annabeth asked.

"She got a boyfriend today. I shouldn't have planned on asking her out so soon. I should have first asked her if she was into girls-"

"Estelle it's not you're fault," Annabeth said as softly as she could. "You had a crush. That's not you're fault at all!" Estelle smiled at Annabeth and hugged her.

"Thanks, Annabeth. But can you do me a favour?"

"And that is?"

"Don't tell Percy. He's already so oblivious to this, and I prefer him being like that." Annabeth smiled. "You're secret is safe with me."

Annabeth left Estelle to herself and went out of the room, before coming back in a moment later and saying, "You know, Tessa could like both boys and girls. Or maybe she doesn't even care about the gender."

Estelle looked up at Annabeth. "Wait, that's possible?"

Annabeth laughed. "Sure! She could be bisexual, pansexual, omnisexual or heteroflexible. Or any of the various sexualities. Though you should probably ask your Uncle Will for more information on these terms."

"Wow, this whole time, I thought you could like just boys or girls. Unless, you know, you were non-binary, or trans or genderfluid. But sure, I'll ask Uncle Will!" she exclaimed.

Will was one of her favourite uncles. They shared the same tastes in almost everything, especially with their obsession with Star Wars and anything related to space. They would spend hours reciting random Darth Vader lines or geeking out over the movies every time they saw them.

Estelle picked up her phone, sniffling a little and dialled Will's number.

"How's our little goddess doing?" A bright voice rang through the phone.

"Uncle, I told you not to call me that!" Estelle exclaimed, turning red. You see, when she was two, she would walk around the house on her father's shoulders, claiming she was the goddess of the universe. Since then, Will and Leo had started calling her their little goddess.

"Well, what did you want to talk to me about Estelle?"

"Uh well..." And so she told her story. Of how her crush was a girl. How sweet Tessa was. How Annabeth had calmed her down and named the various sexualities, and how she had told her to talk to him about them.

All this time, Will had been listening to what she was saying attentively. He chuckled and said, "So our little goddess just had her gay awakening, huh? Sure, I'll tell you all about it."

It must have been an hour before Will was done. Nico had joined their conversation somewhere in the middle and added a few comments here and there.

Estelle felt a lot happier after the call with Will. Although she was already pretty close to him, it was like a cord of love and trust had formed between the two. A cord that could not be broken. She smiled to herself.

It was around three months later when Estelle finally moved on. Tessa and her boyfriend had been in a healthy relationship and Estelle finally thought she wanted to move on. She came out to her friends a few weeks after. She eventually came out to Tessa as well but did not tell her about her previous crush on her, as she didn't want to ruin their friendship.

Estelle Blofis felt great. And she was thankful to Annabeth and her Uncle Will's guidance that helped her through it.
