As I said before, nothing big my ass. I've been making snacks for four hours now, the living room table now fully filled with snacks, drinks and a ton of sugary sweats. Combining everything, you could honestly like twenty plus people, but I was honestly worried if it would be enough for those seven... pigs. I mean, Jimin alone could easily be able to eat this in a few hours... but honestly .
The boys are supposed to be arriving in about fifteen minutes, so me and Jimin have been making some finishing touches like bringing in some plates and stuff.
"Is everything ready?" And Jimin coming out of the kitchen with a few boxes full of beer.
"Yeah that should be everything. I just gotta fill up Bellas bowl with food so just put those boxes under the table will you please?"
"You got it boss!"
I forgot to mention Bella, didn't I? She's a little Pomeranian fluff ball that Jimin gave me as a birthday present last year. Even tho she is technically mine, and I'm the one who always takes care of her, the little devil likes him more, like a lot more. Like, stuck to him like glue 24/7 every single day, and when he's not home, all hell breaks loose with her little tantrums of not having her favourite person home. To be honest, I noticed that she just likes the male species more in general.
After filling up her bowl and returning back to the living room, I sat down besides Jimin on the couch, stealing a handful of chips from one of the fully filled bowls in the process.
"Any news?" I asked, munching on the crispy little things.
"Yeah they'll be here in a few minutes." He said, putting down his phone on the mini coffee table in front of us. Jimin turned to look at me, face all stern and serious. "There's gonna be a few rules..."
"Rules? Seriously? Am I five or something?"
"No. No you're not. But with your previous comments about how they're 'Geek gods' or whatever the heck you said, I don't want you openly drooling. They have enough ego boosts every day as it is."
I scoffed in disbelief. "Yeah, like I would do such a thing."
Jimin just looked at me unimpressed, eyebrows raised. "Oh yeah? How about that guy you saw when we were walking Bella last night? I had to practically drag you away from there."
"Yeah Yeah. Not my fault he was built like a Calvin Klein model. Can you really blame me tho? The single-ness is really starting to hit these days, especially when I have to constantly watch you and Hope be all lovey-dovey with each other." I said, taking another handful of chips after finishing the first. Maybe I should just take the whole bowl at this point. We have more bags anyways.
Jimins face still stayed serious, unmoving. "I'm serious Kath, you're my best friend. I love them, but I don't trust them with you. You know their reputation as well as I do."
"Well to be fair, you don't trust any guy when it comes to me. And did you forget? You guys all have the same reputation, so don't act like a saint here. I know how you are, and I was still rooting for you and Hope. Why can't you do the same once in a while?"
"That's because you know me. You've known me since we were babies, you know I wouldn't do anything bad, but them? You don't know them. I do. Better than anyone else. And what do you mean I don't trust any guys with you? You dated that guy, what's his name, for over a year."
"Seriously? You hated his guts! And don't think I didn't notice how you talked and acted with him around."
"But I was right, wasn't I? When I told you that he was just like any other fuckboy? I mean, the bastard was cheating already half way through the relationship!"
"Okay okay I get it! I was naïve. I was blind and it was my fault for forgiving him that time. People learn from their mistakes." This whole conversation is starting to get annoying and weirdly suspicious. I mean, we have talks like these once in a while, but not really in this subject. "Besides, just because your friends are hot as fuck, doesn't mean I'll be going for them. They've probably slept with almost every girl on campus at one point or another. I don't want that, you know this."
"Yeah Yeah, I know all about your perfect fairy tale fantasy." He said, rolling his eyes a little and leaning back on the couch.
"Exactly. I may not know them all, but Joonie and Hoseok seem to be pretty nice... as in 'friends' nice."
"They are. I'm not saying anything... still not happy that you had to do that project together a while back, but I guess it's for the best..."
"Oh shush." I chuckled, finally deciding and reaching for the entire bowl of the crispy goodness. "It's not like they would even go for someone like me. Their usual go to type is a little... different. And having an overprotective bodyguard such as yourself surely doesn't help." Shaking my head on the last part with a smile, I set the bowl down, having enough at the moment.
'I will return later my lovelies, don't worry.'
Jimin looked at me with an expression I couldn't really understand. Disbelief? Confusion? "You seriously... do you really think-"
His sentence was cut short with a loud bang from the door being swung open, heavy footsteps, loud voices and barking that turned from angry too excited in a split second.
"Yo yo people! The main hoes have arrived! What's with the weird vibe? We brought pizza!"
One after another, the boys started piling into the apartment, their presence and the smell of pizza filling up the entire penthouse.
'How did they get in here? Last time I checked the door was locked. Has Jimin given them the key?'
"Katheryn! Hey!" Hoseok ran up to me, giving me a tight hug, and even after a few unpleasant looks from Jimin, who was bringing over the pizza boxes, didn't let go and just started rocking us side to side. "I haven't seen you in ages Holly smokes! Your little bodyguard over there forbid us from seeing you, can you believe that? Isn't he the worst?" He said with an exaggerated pout, finally letting me go.
"He really is, isn't he?" I answered with a smile, but didn't miss the eye roll that came from said bodyguard to my side.
"Hey Kathy!" Next was Namjoon who came up with a big hug of his own. "Still as tiny as ever, aren't we?" Oh I so wish I could wipe that teasing playful smirk of his face. Not my fault my 5'1 ass hasn't grown even a bit since middle school.
"Well at least I can walk through a door frame like a normal person and not have to bend down."
He just laughed it off and rested his arm on my head as of to prove his point on how short I was compared to them. I looked over the boys once more, smiling, until my eyes landed on him. Leaning against the door frame, arms in his pockets, lips set into a barely visible smirk, and his eyes. From far away, the brown in them appeared to have completely disappeared, leaving them completely black. And the worst of it all, his gaze was dangerous, predatory, like a predator waiting to pounce his prey and devour it... and it was set on me.
