𝑨𝒃𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏'𝒔 𝑷𝑶𝑽
I woke up to my brothers tackling me while chanting happy birthday as I groaned, as they got off me and told me to head to the dining room for breakfast, they're making my favorite they said as my Eyes sparkle in excitement and zoomed to the kitchen, and ate the breakfast and swim around the ocean as the citizens of our side of the kingdom bid me a happy birthday, as I swim around I decided to try and swimming up to the surface for once, to see the sky and breathe the air, but my mother forbid us from doing it, along with the citizens to avoid getting seen and caught by humans aka pirates, and humans too. My mother gave me a sapphire necklace as a birthday present be she said it looks like me, and I smiled and attempted to swim up to the surface and poked my head up, and saw the sky for the very first time. The sky is more beautiful then underwater, but then I turn around and see the storm clouds roaming in, the storms are too dangerous for voyaging, and saw the same pirate ship still heading forward as I yelled "stop! Wait!" But covered my mouth and dived underwater and try to stop the ship from going forward. "Ugh! It's not working! That ship is going to be destroyed!" I yelled as I grab a little compartment and opened it which is the place for the anchor, as the anchor slowly flow out of the ship and finally hit the ground as I smile. "Just saved some human lives, they better thank me, oh wait they don't know I exist." I sighed as swim around with my koi fish following me, as the storm begins and the currents get stronger I notice the ship moving uncontrollably and I saw a black figure fall over and into the ocean, I  looked at it as he woke up and gasped and struggled for air as I jolted and swam towards him in a flash and swam him up to the surface i set him down on the beach thanks to my siren swimming speed, "oh my he looks handsome." I mumble as I blushed, but I used my water magic to remove the water in his lungs as he woke up with a gasp for air and coughed up the water left. "Oh god, that wasn't the worst thing that has happened and even I'm shocked." He said as he turned behind him as I immediately jumped in the ocean. "Hey, I know I didn't suddenly escape death on my own, who saved me?" He asked as I was still afraid to come up, but then he looks beside him and see my sapphire necklace. "Who's is this? It's beautiful, and it's real." He said as I popped out and growled cutely, "t-that's is my necklace human." I said sounding like I'm tough but I'm not, And let's just say he looked at me in admiration? Fear? I grew uncomfortable with his stares and mumbled, "c-can I have it back now? It must've fell off when I jumped in because you scared me." I said as he snapped out of his trance and said, "s-sure." As his face turned red, was he hot? Cold? I moved up so that he could put it on me, and asked. "So, you're a siren? An actual siren?" He asked as I nodded, he smirked and felt something warm on the back of my neck as I yelped and held the spot. "W-what was that?" I asked as he smirked, "that's called a neck kiss. We humans do it for sexual activity." He said while smirking, as I felt my face heat up, "I thought sirens would have sharp teeth and snake like eyes, and fins on the back of their head or something." The boy said as he scratched the back of his head, as I nodded no. "Those are myths, we actually look like humans but with tails and fins and sharp teeth and claws." I said as he shook his head in interest. but then I heard a voice shout "abharan! What are you doing on the surface!?" My older brother Alek said as he swam to the surface and pulled me behind him as he held a sword to the pirates throat. "Alek! Stop! He's not doing anything! We're just talking!" I said as he clicked his tongue, "talking? More like a gateway to be KILLED." He growled as the pirate put his hands up in surrender, "listen to me, I didn't do anything to him, I didn't touch him. And I'm not going to hurt him, I was just giving him back his necklace he dropped when he saved my life." The pirates said as he dropped to his knees, arms still raised. Alek huffed and put his sword back in his sheath. "You. Me. Home. Now." Alek demanded as he dived back into the ocean, "well this is goodbye mr. pirate sir." I said as he held my hand, "please my name is Bastian." He said as he winked and I felt my face heat up and dived into the water.

I swam to my mother aka the thrown room as the guards and my brothers looked at me in disappointment. As my mother looked at me in worry as she hugged me, "oh my sweet boy! Thank Galatea you're alright and safe!" She said as then I felt a stinging pain on my left side of  my face. "Why did you go to the surface!?" She screamed as I held my cheek, and looked at my older brothers for help, but they didn't. Just sat there and watched, as my mother continued to slap me. "B-because I wanted to see what it was like! You never let me or everyone else head to the surface just for a peek of the sky! I-I must've ran into—" another slap, "ran into what?!" She said  "I must've ran into a human pirate because he fell off the ship and was drowning! S-so I saved him." I said as she just stared at me, with dead eyes. "You should've let him die." Mother said as she swam away as I sobbed on the ground, why does she hate humans so much...? Why..?
