ep. 4

the sunlight softly touched the surface of (y/n)'s soft face, waking her up due to the discomfort of the bright light.

she stirred in her sheets and got in a comfortable position where the light wouldn't bother her anymore.

suddenly her door was opened loudly by an adult figure.

"it's morning! time to go to school!"

said the strict voice, with a tint of anger as always.

(y/n) knew there was no escaping this decision. if anything she didn't have control of her own life, she's being tossed around by the ones that she looked up to as her parents.

she stood up from her laying position and looked at the person in front of her.

it's her mother.

"yes, mother."

(y/n) spoke softly and got up from the bed, looking down at her feet.

"look at me when i speak to you, y/n."

(y/n) followed her orders and looked up at her with an emotionless face.

"ever since you've been a baby, ive raised you to obey my commands and so i'm glad you are..."

the older woman walked around the young child while looking at her posture.

(y/n) felt a lump at her throat. she knew that there shouldn't be a reason for her mother to be proud. she broke almost every rule behind her back. she felt like a disappointment to her family.

but she liked it.

she was free by her own will.

once her mother was in front of her once again, she followed her order and looked at her in the face.

"as you know, you're only allowed to go to school and back home, talking to nobody at all, no distractions. people out there are cruel and disgusting, which is why i'm keeping you safe..."

(y/n) nodded her head.

"yes, mother. thank you..."

"we will have dinner with your arranged husband, you know that he found interest in you and he's desperate to have you as his wife..."

(y/n) kept her sobs in. the disgusting decision of picking out love for someone else. especially with someone older, almost twice her age. but what can she do?

she felt small, like she could do nothing at all. tears threatened to fall from her eyes, but she strongly held them back.

(y/n) nodded not being able to speak, her heart being torn down.

"once you come to age and be ready, you will be his and live with him until death decides otherwise..."

(y/n) nods again.

"go take a shower, brush your teeth, do your hair, put on the school uniform and you'll go straight to school, understand?"

(y/n) nodded her head and spoke.

"yes, mother"

the older women left and shut the door with a loud slam. (y/n) immediately did what her mother told her to do. why did she do it if she was so against her decisions?

because she wanted love.

she was neglected as a kid by the same people that she's finally getting some attention from.

but that did not lead to happiness.

she stays with them, hurting herself. she wants to make them proud.

(y/n) turned on the shower and stood there, letting the hot water droplets go down her skin. she wet her hair and sighed.

"god, i'm pathetic..."

she whispered under her breath.

"please, somebody..."

she stopped herself from finishing, a loud sob escaping her mouth. tears started falling from her eyes as she hung her head down low before her body slowly fell down to the floor, her back against the wall.

the only glint of happiness she feels is when she's in 'S' and now after meeting such a cocky but charming boy, she wants all of that to keep.

but it's not in her reach.

she doesn't deserve to be happy, right? it's for her own good, right? it's normal,

right?

she placed a hand on top of her mouth to quiet down her sobs and she felt depressed in a ball of disappointment.

she saw the years of mental and emotional abuse as a sign of love, she didn't want her parents to leave her again.

but after meeting that boy, she's scared she's going to lose him as well. the one who sparked hope in her heart. it's not love, it's not hate, but admiration.

she wants to be by his side and learn the things in life that she has been trying to grope for her whole life.

but would that ever happen?
