Chapter 10

Allie'sPOV

The project me and Luke had about the artist was due today. And I wasn't really excited about it, our project looked lame and boring. We wrote many facts about him but overall, it looked extremely boring.

I had to walk to school alone today because (what Mrs. Irwin said) Ashton had gone to school with someone else. I felt lonely, only occupying myself with music. Though I wonder, who would Ashton walk with? I left my thoughts alone, thinking it could be one of the boys. But my answer was incorrect. I saw all the boys there, probably waiting for me and Ashton (who wasn't with them).

"Hey fellas!" I spoke, waving my hands.

I get greeted with a bunch of 'heys' and 'hellos'.

"So, where's Ashton?" I asked hoping they'd seen him.

"He's not with you?" Calum asks.

I shook my head. "His mom told me he went with someone else." I stated, shrugging.

"And I thought he went with one of you guys." I replied honestly.

"There he is right now," Calum pointed out. "With.. Maira?" As soon as those words left his lips, I automatically turned my head to see what he was talking about.

And he was indeed with Maira.. They walked in happily chatting with their hands intertwined. Confusion was displayed on my face. Why were they holding hands? But a voice interrupted my thoughts before any answer could be thought.

"Hey guys." Ashton greeted, sending off that adorable smile of his.

We all greeted back.

"So, what's with the hand holding?" I asked.

"Oh, it's just a friendly gesture. " He answered.

It didn't seem like a friendly gesture, I wanted to say but I just kept silent.

We all walked off to our first period. Me keeping silent the whole time.

The day passed by agonizingly slow. The minute the bell rang, the students rushed to get out of that class and out of the school.

Luke and I got an average grade for that project we did. It wasn't that challenging. I mean, all we had to do was write a report on the artist of our choice.

Luke wasn't in this class so he didn't wait for me and Ashton was pretty much occupied with someone else, so I just walked home alone, I didn't want to wait for anybody, I just want some peace to myself.

Once I got home, I received a text from Luke.

Luke: Hey, where are you? :-)

To Luke: I'm at home. :/

Luke: You sick?

To Luke: Nope.

Luke: How'd you get home so fast?

To Luke: I walked.-.

Luke: I know that-.-

To Luke: Just come by my house if you wanna talk. My phone is low see ya

I went up to my room and got out my charger, plugging my phone in to charge.

I then changed out of my clothes and into more comfortable clothes which were an oversized tee and sweats. I went back downstairs to find a snack. I took frozen pizza out of the freezer and put it in the oven for it to cook. As soon as the bell rung, the pizza was finished too, so I took it out of the oven and placed it on the table, heading to the door.

"Oh hello, I didn't know you were coming!" I exclaimed jokingly to Luke.

He rolled his eyes but gave a small laugh.

I invited him in as I went to grab pizzas for both of us.

I went in the living room 'cause that's where he was, and set his pizza (with a plate) on his lap. He took his eyes off his phone, which was occupying him and looked to his lap, seeing the pizza, and instantly ate it.

I laughed, "Slow down Luke, you might choke." I stated.

He stopped and chewed slowly so he wouldn't choke as I said.

"Okay, so.. wanna watch a movie?" I asked.

"We've done that many times. Let's do something else!" He exclaimed, probably already thinking of a plan.

"Wanna walk somewhere?" He asked, still looking excited.

"Where to?" I asked.

I looked to see the time, 4:16. Time flew by so fast. I left school, probably at the time the bell had rung, which was 2:40 and now it's 4:17 (a minute passed). I felt like I just got here.

"I just felt like going to the park or something." He said.

The park. That place reminded me of Ashton, does he even remember that I'm his best friend? Ever since that day I kissed Luke.. he's been kind of distant.

"I actually don't feel up for the park." I said as his excitement faded.

"Oh." He said frowning.

I hated that face. Actually no, I hated that look, I hated him being sad.

"Do you wanna visit the boys?" I asked instead.

His excitement came quickly as he nodded.

"Ashton's?" He asked, since it was the closest.

"Um.. sure." I said reluctantly.

He texted the other boys if they wanted to join to which they of course answered with a 'yes/sure'.

Me and Luke headed to Ashton's, just a couple steps across from my house.

We knocked on his door, I was expecting it to be Ashton but I saw Maira instead..

Hi guys, I didn't update in a while, I just kind of got some courage to still continue on with the story. So here's an update, there was currently no school today so I had a lot of free time. I decided to update on this specific date because I will be very busy these upcoming days, due to the amount of tests being given.
