Cassidy asked if he needed to with me but I told him I didn't want him to miss his band practice. If I needed anything I would call. It's now around noon and Mom is just waking up. "Hey Bri, are you okay?", Mom asked."

"Yeah, I'm fine", I hesitate and think about what Cassidy had told me. "Well actually, I had a pretty strange dream about Dad." Mom then muttered something I could not make out but it sounded along the lines of "He was right." I was now interested, "Why do you ask?"

Mom looked worried and then said, "Well, I got a messaged from what I believe was your father saying you needed help with something. something about closure. Is there anything you need to talk about?"

I hesitate to even tell her the truth about how I killed Dad, "Um, well I." Is all  I could get out .

"Honey, what is it?"

"Mom, I think it's my fault that dead. You know about the fight, it was so close to the accident."

"Honey, no it's not your fault. Your fight doesn't have anything to do with his accident."

"I know, but the accident was so close to the fight, it all makes sense."

"There aren't reasons for these things. they just happen." Mom came over to hug me.

"I'm so sorry." I stated.

"It's okay, it's better that we talked about this early."

As I looked up I could see my reflection in the refrigerator. Staring back at me was a new person. She wasn't sad or alone, she was happy and understood. There was also another person. Her father, who wasn't an angry like before, but instead showed  happiness as bright as the sun. In unison the father and the newly changed girl both mouth I love you.
