We shortly and safely stopped in front of my house. As I got out I saw the two other limousines and cars following behind. Neighbors, cousins, aunts, and uncles were there. As I saw Cassidy get out of his family's car I ran toward him. I could see his black biker jacket over his dress shirt he had on. His black skinny jeans and dress shoes perfectly completed the outfit. I started running towards him, my flowing hair and heels didn't seem to make an affect me. My legs moves as if they belonged on a horse's body. One close enough I threw myself at him. I was in his safe, comforting dome once again. He guided me to the house, together we pushed and shoved our way to the stairs where led me to my room.
Click. Like any other door in the house, my room has a lock on it. The night of the fight I ran into my room and locked it. I felt like a prisoner, but that's okay because that is what I wanted. I didn't want to be bother or confronted. Cassidy interrupted my thoughts, "So Bri what's this whole thing with you thinking tour father's death is your fault?"
"Well, I've been telling myself it was my fault. I know it doesn't make sense, but I've been saying that he was distracted because of me. The accident wasn't that long after the fight and we weren't talking. it must have distracted him, causing him to get into the accident."
"That's crazy Bri. I know you were mad and didn't want to talk to him but I'm ninety percent positive you didn't cause that accident. The two cars were at the intersection. We don't know who had the right away that day." ,Cassidy re-assured me.
Cassidy hugged me for awhile and let go. I gently rubbed my fingers through his jet black hair. He didn't leave, but together we sat on my bed enjoying the moments of silence. We can simply lay there thinking to ourselves and comfort one another. Suddenly it was 6:00 and everyone was leaving. Time was a cheetah that ran past, it went by fast. Sitting for four hours simply laying together weirdly made me feel better. Cassidy confronted his parents asking if he could sleep over. The answer was a yes.
