(Quick note: sorry for all the 'filler' chapters, I promise more stuff is gonna happen soon with Kurt and the band and basically just everything aha)
That evening, Evelyn and Kurt listened to an old Velvet Underground record of Kurt's that he'd brought over the other day. It was the first time she'd ever heard that record, and it gave her a warm fuzzy feeling. Whether than feeling was from the cheap lager, or the music, or Kurt, she didn't know.
After all the dancing and drinking, Evelyn was tired. She flopped down on the sofa, her mascara flaking under her eyes slightly and her once straight hair was tangled now. 'Alrighty, I think that's enough for one night hm?' Kurt chuckled as he took a deep exhale, blowing smoke out of his mouth as he put the cigarette down in the ash tray. 'But Kurtyyyy I'm not tired yet!!' Evelyn protested, although it was clear she was lying, her eyes fell droopy and she was on the verge of fling to sleep. 'You look tired Evelyn.' He mumbled, feeling tired himself. 'I don't want to go to sleep yet..' Evelyn muttered. 'Let me carry you okay? I won't hurt you..I promise.' He spoke softly.
Kurt picked her up and she wrapped her legs round his waist as he carried her onto the bed. 'Are you gonna take your makeup off?' He smiled a little, he knew she wouldn't be happy if she found big foundation marks on her pillow the next day. 'No..too tired..' She mumbled. 'I thought you aren't tired huh?' Kurt smirked. 'Shut up.' Evelyn laughed a little, wanting to close her eyes but fearing to. Fearing that she'd remember something from the incident a few nights ago. She kept seeing his face in her mind, the strong smell of alcohol on his breath, his dirty, rough hands on her. It made her grimace. 'Looks like I'm gonna have to take this makeup off you then eh?' Kurt mock sighed, he didn't mind doing this really.
He got up slowly and got the makeup remover and a couple of wipes out, it was hard to keep Evelyn's face still as she writhed and wriggled, wanting to go to sleep already. She didn't want to admit it but she loved how relaxing it felt, his slightly warm, delicate hands on her face, taking off her makeup like she was a China doll who might break.
'Here!' Kurt sloppily threw one of his jumpers at Evelyn, it was a dark green one, and it almost came down to her knees. She pulled it on lazily, as Kurt looked away as she changed. 'Alright you can look.' Evelyn giggled a little, the drunkenness making her a bit tipsy. He was slightly shocked at how someone could look better than him in his own clothes, but Evelyn managed that. Somehow.
Kurt got up to leave the room but he heard her voice as he was exiting. 'Stay Kurt?' Evelyn tiredly asked. 'Okay sweetheart.' This was his new name for her, it was cute, and she liked it more than she cared to say. Kurt cuddled up next to her, his arms felt like a protective shield from all her current problems as she drifted off into sleep.
And then all of a sudden, there it was. He was there in her dreams. That sad excuse for a person. The guy who assaulted her. He jeered and smirked at her as pinned her down to the bed. 'Get the fuck off me!!' She cried. But he didn't listen, he just did more and more and more..
Kurt didn't know what to do when he heard her scream. Her eyes were still closed, but her face was filled with pain. He kept his arms round her. She broke away from him. 'GET OFF ME YOU PERVERT!' She screeched. A look of realisation filled her face as she realised it was none other than Kurt. 'Oh..Kurt..Kurt..Kurt...' Evelyn said, tension high in her voice as she fell back into his arms. 'It was only a dream Eve okay..? I'm here..' Kurt soothed her, softly giving her a kiss on the cheek. Evelyn could barely turn to look at Kurt, her eyes stared at the bathroom door instead.
Kurt sat up awkwardly. 'Uhm..I know it's only like five in the morning but you want some toast?' Evelyn nodded quickly. Kurt smiled at her and left the room to go make some toast, he burnt his slice a bit but made sure to toast hers just right. He brought the toast up and Evelyn questionably looked at Kurt as his was all burnt and crispy round the edges. 'C'mon Kurt that can't taste very nice, want some of mine?' She held out her slice and Kurt took a small bite. 'You barely ate any!' Evelyn laughed a little. 'You need the food more, you didn't eat properly yesterday.' Kurt said, sounding very maternal.
So they finished the toast and Kurt sang Beatles songs to help Evelyn sleep. After she drifted off, Kurt watched her, but not in a creepy way, he wanted to make sure she was ok. He gently played with her slightly curly hair and smiled at the fact that this might be his new life. And he loved that thought.
