Evelyn giggled lightly as her and Kurt walked through the door, he was telling her some shitty little story from highschool  to entertain her. 'Kurt! No way!' She smiled. He looked at her for a second, and then another second, and soon they were gazing into each other's eyes. Kurt gulped a little, looking down at the floor again. 'Kurt..uhm..' Evelyn started speaking, but then somehow adrenaline just overtook her and she put her hand on his neck. Their faces inched closer.

'FUCK!' A loud knock at the door caused Evelyn and Kurt's ~moment~ to be ruined, their faces backing away from each other, pretending they didn't almost kiss. 'Open up the fucking door already.' A voice spoke. A voice Evelyn knew way too well. Kat's voice.

Evelyn looked at Kurt with panic in her eyes. She opened the door. Kat glared at her. 'Why are you here?' Evelyn probed. 'I wanted to pay you a visit. Plus..you've turned.straight?' Kat sneered, looking Kurt up and down. 'And..Cobain? Really? Of all the people Evelyn, you choose the retard fucker?' Kurt's jaw clenched as Kat said that. 'Why the fuck is it your business anyway? And you KNOW that was a rumour about Kurt, you made it up.' Evelyn said, already losing her patience with Kat. 'The man can speak for himself...although he doesn't look like much of a man with that hairstyle does he..' Kat said, glaring at both of them still.

'Alright Kat, why did you actually come here? Just to have a go at me? To boost your own ego?' Evelyn backed away from the door a bit, Kurt stood right behind her, his arm wrapped protectively round her waist. 'Well..just wanted to let you know...me and your lovely friend Lyra..are dating.' Kat smiled so damn smugly, Evelyn lost it at this point. 'Just go already Kat.' She said coldly. 'Awh someone's jealous?' Kat said sarcastically. 'Me? Jealous of you? Oh grow the fuck up.' And with that, Evelyn slammed the front door. Kat shouted and screamed but soon got bored.

~a week later~

Evelyn hadn't even bothered to answer the phone to Lyra. Who knew her friend could go off and leave her for her ex? Kurt's warm hugs helped comfort Evelyn. He was the friend she needed in a time like this. Evelyn wasn't even sure if she could call it a friendship at this point. Her and Kurt kissed last night. Nothing had gone any further, but they just wanted a moment of happiness. No regrets.

'We play our show with Hole tonight..' Kurt said, as he stirred from his slumber, sitting up in bed. 'Yeah..' Evelyn said quietly. She was worried about Courtney, hopefully she was harmless, but she hadn't exactly heard the most wholesome things about her. 'Eve you sure you're okay?' Kurt tentatively asked, looking at Evelyn, whose slightly curly hair was in her eyes a little. 'Courtney.' Was all she said. She instantly regretted it. Why was she even worried about Courtney? It's not like her and Kurt were anything, were they?

'Hey..I promise I won't do anything with her...you're the most important thing to me right now Eve.' Kurt said, putting his hand atop hers, planting a soft kiss on her middle finger. Evelyn slightly smiled at him. 'I..I am..?' She said, confused. 'Yes. You're so special to me. I don't know what it is..but I'm so drawn to you. And look at you..you're b-beautiful.' Kurt stuttered a little. 'You're the kindest person I've ever met Kurt, and you're so special to me too. I can't describe how much you've helped me.' Evelyn said looking down. Kurt carefully pulled her sleeves up a bit. Her cuts were starting to heal, apart from one fresh one she had done a few nights ago. 'You're doing so well..I'm so proud of you..' Kurt softly whispered, holding her arm and kissing her cuts, it was comforting in a way. She knew Kurt was protecting her. And she liked that.

A few hours passed, and they both got ready for the concert, Kurt washing his hair for once, and Evelyn dressing up a bit, although she was only going to be backstage. 'Ready to go?' He said, tying his shoe laces up.

They hopped in the car and arrived at the venue, a dingy little club. But it was perfect. And that was the first time Evelyn saw Courtney Love, her fierce eyes watching Eve like a bird of prey. It was going to be an eventful night..
