The next day
Kai was getting sicker.
Zane: he has strep throat he'll be ok tho
Cole: ok but why does he have such a hard
time sleeping?
Zane: I don't know. Ask him when he gets up
Zane left
Cole lays down to the sleeping Kai
Kai: hi babe
Cole: oh sorry didn't know you were awake
Kai: it's fine soo am I good
Cole: Zane said you have strep throat
Kai: that doesn't tell me anything
Cole: you have to take nasty ass tasting bitch serum to cure you
Kai:... what?
Cole: medicine babe
Kai: pill or liquid Nya always preferred pill. She said the liquid was gross.
Cole knew Kai raised Nya but he didn't realize how much Kai didn't know about being a kid.
Cole: you'll be out for a day or two according to him.
Kai: I can cut it down to 3 minutes
Cole: no.
Kai: but baaaaaabe
Cole: no means no
Kai made a pouty face
Cole: just take your medicine for two fucking days and get back on your feet ok?
Kai: fineeee.
He crawled in bed with him and sat him in his lap
Kai soon fell asleep as Cole rubbed his head and soon after went to sleep himself.
Awhile later
Cole woke up hearing harsh coughing in the bath room. His eyes where shocked to see Kai coughing up blood.
Cole: I'm gonna go get Zane I'll be right back ok?
Kai nodded his head
After Zane arrived
Zane: This can't be right scans show it's strep why is he coughing up blood
Cole: ZANE WHY IS HE PUKING BLOOD!?
Cole was angry but incredibly worried at the same time. He looked at Kai. Something was off. Not the puking blood. Something with his eyes. His pupils.
Cole: Zane what's wrong with his eyes?
Zane: what do you mean?
Cole: his pupils shouldn't look like that should they?
Zane looks at Kais eyes with a light. Faster than Cole could comprehend Kai was picked up by Zane and was being cared to a place Cole hoped Kai wouldn't have to go. Medbay. The ninjas rarely used Medbay and when they did something was seriously wrong. The moment they reached the door and Zane closed it before Cole could get in a single thing popped in Coles mind.
Kai could die.
