Chapter 4

James pov.

I couldn't believe I let my mate sleep up in my bed alone. I get she is scared but im her mate we are ment to be together.

I leaned my head back against the arm of the couch. She is perfect in so many ways though. I just want her to know I wont hurt her.

Hopefully she will talk when she wakes up. Then maybe I could show her im not bad.

I sighed, I just want to hear her voice for once.

I barely got any sleep last night just thinking about her. The way she looks so innocent and sweet.

Oh how bad I would love to kiss her. Her sweet tender lips against mine.

She had kissed my chin last night and I pushed her off.  I was so stupid. I just thought she was that slut of a girl.

I was cut off by a scream that had came from upstairs. I ran upstairs as fast as possible. 

I rushed into my bedroom and what I seen was terrifying.  She was pinned to a wall by a girl around the same age with long blonde hair.

I growled and charged at the girl grabbing her by the hair and slinging her across the room.

My mate coughed as now she could could finnaly breath. She looked up at me with sad eyes and shook her head.

"Who do you think you are pushing me around" a girl yelled from behind me. I rolled my eyes and turned around.

She looked pissed..

"Umm excuse me but I think you broke into my house so I should be asking that question " I growled back at her.

"Im not here for trouble just give me her and I can leave" she moved forward to grab her but I growled. She was not getting my mate!

She made another move to get her.

I lunged and grabbed her throat while pushing her agaisnt my dresser. "Who are you!!" I yelled in my alpha tone.

"Lau-ren Hea-rtfie-ld" she managed to say. I growled of course another pack probably her pack.

I stood there for a minute thinking until it dawned on me. This is who she is afraid of! I growled even louder and pushed off of lauren.

"Whatever you possibly had with her is over she is my mate and is staying her!"

She growled "we'll see" and ran off. Pshh whatever she has in mind wont work im a alpha!

I went to run after her but felt a arm grab onto mine.  It sent sparks through my body.

I stared at her for a second and smiled at her then sat down on the bed. I put my head in my hands..what a morning.

I looked up at her and she looked scared. "Hey you dont have to be afriad I wont hurt you" I wrapped my arms around her and sat her beside me.

"Do you know her" I asked and she nodded into my arm.

We sat in silence for a minute or two until she sighed.

"Whats your name" I asked her but all I got was a scared expression.

She looked around the room fast as in looking for a hiding spot.

"Its okay you dont have to tell me" she looked up at me and gave me a your "crazy" look and got up.

I grabbed her arm " dont run its okay you dont have to say anything if you dont feel comfortable "

She gave me the same look and jerked out of my grip. I went to grab her again but she slid out of the way. I groaned and just watched watch she was doing.

She walked over to my night stand by my bed and picked up a notebook and pen. I stood there as she wrote something.

She turned back around and wrote "Mikayla" in big letters. I rubbed the back of my neck in embarrassment as she walked over to me.

"I didnt know you couldn't talk" I said in a low voice.

'Its okay' she wrote on the notebook and actaully smiled.

I smiled back and put my arm around her neck. "Mikayla" I said and she smiled,

"Lets go eat some breakfast " she laughed and I felt warm inside considering that is the only noise she has made.

I laughed with her as we walked down the stairs to the kitchen.

She's perfect in so many ways!
