My Other Half

Chapter 5

Mikayla's pov.

I feel bad I cant speak to him but I dont want to hurt anybody or in my case get hurt myself. He is so sweet and nice but I still feel like I dont trust him.

He hasnt done anything, but I know he is an alpha and all the alphas I have known hurt me.

My thoughts were going deeper until he turned around and sat a plate of food in front of me.  He has done more than anybody has done for me in years.

I frowned at knowing I need to go home or my dad will hurt him. If he hurt him I would never forgive myself and he is the nicest person I know.

"I thought you would like eggs and bacon for breakfast " he said as he sat down. He grabbed his fork and ate an egg then motioned for me to eat.

I always had to cook for the family and they wouldnt let me cook for myself . I had to get food from the school which wasnt so bad until dad found out and made me stop. So lately I have been starving myself and my body has gotten used to it.

I looked down at my plate and sighed. I picked up the fork and ate two eggs and one piece of bacon.  I pushed the plate back and looked up at him.

"Is that all you want to eat" I nodded and got up to grab the notebook.

I sat back down and started writing in the notebook. He stood there watching and I let a tear fall knowing I had to go back.

I handed him the notebook and it read 'can I go for a run' he nodded his head yes and I turned around to leave until he caught my arm.

"I'll go with you" he said and I shook my head fiercely.

He looked confused but went on with it " okay just please be back by two" he let go of my arm and I shook my head yes.

I took off out the front door and looked in the way of home and left. It hurt to leave him but I didnt want him to get hurt.

I took off the shirt I had on and shifted. I picked up the shirt in my mouth and went to walking home.

I felt the tears fall as I left him and he was expecting me back home in two hours but I wont return.

I was walking through the woods and heard a low growl that sounded like a laugh. Then my stepsister walked out.

Oh great..

I groaned but stood my position.

"I thought he would get sick of you and throw you out" she sneered at me.

I growled and she just smiled "come on dad wants to see you"

She grabbed the scruff of my neck and bit at her arm making a gash at the wrist. She screamed and lunged at me.

I pinned her to the ground never having the upper hand.  I dont know what was happening.

Her eyes were wide in shock at my strength and so was mine.

She shifted under me into her somewhat little sandy colored wolf ,while my white wolf was on top. I was actaully a little bigger than her.

I growled in her face and snapped. She started writhing under my grip and got free. She lunged and grabbed my neck with her teeth.

She had me pinned agaisnt a tree in seconds and was squeezing my neck between her teeth. I wimpered under her grip and she seemed to get more satisfied.

I focused on her movements and watched how her feet moved with each bite. So I did something totally necessary.

I kicked up and hit her right in her legs and she loosened her grip. I slipped out from under her and grabbed her by the neck like she did me and bit down.

She started struggling and I just bit harder. Then she did something I would have never expected.

She submitted to me like I was an alpha. She turned her neck to the side and whimpered.

I grinned and let go while she coughed up blood.

I started walking back into the direction of home while lauren stayed behind me and walked. I felt satisfied that I made her submit.

I know I was gonna get a good beating for it but I will try to stand up for myself this time.

I finnaly seen my house in sight and it sent a shiver down my spine.

I paused and stood there for a second then felt a body hit me and the back.

"Shit" lauren whispered while she recovered from running into me.

I smiled and she actaully smiled back.

I turned back around in shock she smiled at me then headed home.

I shifted and put on the shirt that was around my ankle. I walked on to the porch and stood at the doorway.

Lauren tapped me on the shoulder and said the two words I had never thought I would hear her say.

"Im sorry"

I stared at her and cocked my head slightly.

She sighed and pulled me in for a hug. I stood there like a piece of wood.

She pulled away "im sorry for everything, I should have been a sister to you not your enenmy. I should have helped you and been on your side. I know it wasnt your fault your mom died. Im so sorry I was a horrible step sister.  Please forgive me I dont have anybody. " she pleaded.

I smiled she actaully felt sorry.

I hugged her this time and and we laughed.

"Here we go" she said and I knocked on the door.

I could hear feet getting closer and closer....
