Mum loved to teach and Dad loved to bake. 2 Required set of skills to provide love and care. A nearby town went through a long period of poverty. Mum and Dad came up with the idea of helping out, making some bread and providing an education. They decided to go on a 'Mission Trip' to help the needy. They told us about it and we could not refuse, until they told us we could not come. Mum wanted me to look after Owen as he just turned 2 at the time. For the next week they would be saving money to buy some books, pencils, flour and rice. The day came in the blink of an eye. They packed their bags, said their goodbye's and left for 3 weeks. Before they left Dad gave me a piece of paper from the both of them. He told me to read it when I needed it most. How was I supposed to know what that meant? Without questioning, I took the paper, and kissed them goodbye for their hard earned adventure. I picked Owen up in my arms and went to prepare his bottle. I wondered what was on the paper, I was so tempted to look inside but wanted to obey their words. I knew that what was on the paper was important but it was also important that I follow their orders. I got Owen his bottle and made him a sandwich with some of the bread that Dad left for me. Mum made some Jam spread so I put that on too. As I was feeding owen I heard a knock at the door. I wasn't sure to answer it or not but I did. I put Owen down and headed over towards the door. I opened it up and what I saw amazed me. I saw a lady, she looked like a volunteer for the local poverty centre. She looked sad. I told her to come inside but she refused. She gave me a note that she had in her hand.
