An Unexpected Visitor

Pov changes will happen every chapter instead of constantly through the chapter. Hope it makes it smoother to read! This isn't cannon it is my own creation, but most characters belong to Aphmau.

Garroths Pov

It was a sunny day in Phoenix Drop. The waters were surprisingly calm for this time of year. Lady Aphmau was said to be back a week ago but here Iam sitting at the dock waiting impatiently for her arrival. How silly of me, even though I have a few days off. I sigh as i stand up and look out onto the open water. Suddenly there was a bright flash of purple to my right and a call for help. I don't think I've moved that fast in a long time. The call sounded like Lady Aphmau. As I enter the clearing in the woods I see lady Aphmau attending to an unconscious man. His body looked as if it has been dragged for miles on end then set fire. Lady Aphmau looked up as she heard me approach.

"Oh thank Irene- Garroth can you take him to my house I have a spare room in the basement." I glance at the man on the ground whose majik's wreak of shadow knight. I sigh as i pick him up off the ground. I begin to walk back to Lady Aphmau's house, as I left the forest it started to pour down rain. The man in my arms began to groan in pain. The burns on his skin were beginning to smoke as the water hit them, but as the rain hit them they healed. I stopped walking and just observed. I heard feet running up to me from the village.  It was Zoe

"Garroth! Why are you just standing in the rain? Are you alri-" she stopped talking as she noticed the man in my arms. His wounds healed but still covered his body with soot like debris. " I-wha? GET HIM INSIDE!" She began to yell. I went to explain to her but the man, I really need to learn his name, started to shift in my arms. I pause and start walking to Lady Aphmau's house again with Zoe at my heels. The mans eyes start to open but don't focus on anything. He is blind, oh mu irene, he is blind. Irene can't give him a break can they! He starts to panic.

"Hey you're ok, you are in Phoenix Drop and I am taking you to Lady Aphmau's house to be healed by a friend of hers." I say trying to calm him down " Who are you? Put me down!" He starts to try and get out of my arms. 

"H-hey man calm down i don't want you to get hurt for Lady Aphmau's sake!" I panic hoping he doesn't hurt himself more. "We just want to help." Zoe trys.

"You can help by telling my why I am blindfolded!." I pause in my walking. I glance at Zoe who just walks by us so she doesn't have to tell him. Thanks Zoe...

"You're not blindfolded sir, you're blind." I say solemnly.

" I-I'm blind?!" He says. "This can't be happening! You don't even know me so why are you telling me this! Where is Aphmau!" He becomes frantic. His hand comes up and touched my helmet. "Why are you wearing armour? I thought this place was safe!" I sigh and collect my thoughts. His hand comes up without my knowing and removes my helmet and drops it to the ground with a clang, breaking my out of my thoughts.

"I- why did you do that-" He interrupts me "Laurence"

"What?"

"My name stupid" He says sarcastically. I roll my eyes and realise we are too close to the village for my liking so I start walking.

"Not going to grab your helmet smart one?" I sigh and continue walking. "Put me down man." Laurence says irritated. I ignore him and continue on. He sighs and we finally make it to Lady Aphmau's house. I open the door to Aphmau, Kawaii-Chan, and Zoe standing around Aphmau's kitchen table. They all gasp at the same time.

"Whats happening." I feel my face go red and I start down Aphmau's stairs without answering Laurence. His hand comes up to rest on my cheek. I move my head trying to get it off but it stays there. I feel tears well up in my eyes. This isn't how I hoped showing my face would happen, in fact I never wanted it to happen. I somehow get Laurence into Aphmau's spare room without crying while his hand was on my face. I lay him down and go to the other side of the room, trying not to cry.
