"I pray for hope, for a light to appear at the end of this tunnel of hate. For too long, we have been trapped in this pit of wickedness while thundering out our rage. I pray that we find a way back to arms that hug instead of fists that break. I pra...

I waddled through the crowded train station, pushing my trolley in front of me. I looked around curiously at the people in the station. Growing up, I didn't know anything about this place or magician general. I was raised in an orphanage, in a small muggle town called Starlight Grove. I was told that I had my mothers last name, though I don't know why. I guess they didn't know who my dad was, and my mum died when I was a baby. All I remember from that night was a woman. She had dark eyes and curly jet black hair. She took me to the orphanage. I vaguely remember her name. Bellatrix LeStrange. She saved me, whilst my childhood home was going down in flames, she ran out with me in her arms. I remember the small amount of time we spent together. Then a day came when she had to give me up. She took me to the orphanage and gave me to one of the women. I still remember her last words to me, ' Je te reverrai un jour mon amour. Reste fort pour moi. Je vais tout réparer. Reste fort. Je t'aime Laicey '.
To this day, I still don't know what her words meant. I reached a wall, between platform 9 and 10. I looked at it for a minute before shrugging and walking into it, well, through it. I reached the other side and smiled broadly. I twirled around a bit to get a better view, my skirt twirling slightly. I glanced at the Scarlett steam engine and pushed my trolley towards it. Just as I went to pick my trunk up, a tall boy took it with a smile.
"Here, let me take that" He said.
I smiled politely and let him take it. He lifted it into the luggage compartment before putting his own in.
"Thank you" I said.
The boy looked at me with red dusted across his cheeks. That was when i got a good look at him. He had hazel eyes and chestnut brown hair. He looked to be about thirteen, a third year maybe. He smiled modestly, shaking his head.
"It's fine. Really" he looked at the floor blushing.
I smiled and nodded my head at him before turning on my heals and walking onto the train. I boarded the Scarlett steam engine, looking around me in wonder. I carried my small purse and walked down an isle in search of a compartment. My shoes clicked along the floor as I approached a compartment. I knocked an peered inside. There were two boys inside.
"Um, hello?" They looked at me with wide eyes "may I sit here?".
One of them nodded slowly, and I stepped inside the compartment. I tucked my skirt under my butt, and sat next to the brunette. I smiled at the two of them and placed my purse in my lap.
"Hi, I'm Laicey Espinoza" I said politely, holding my hand out to the ginger.
"I'm R-Ron Weasley" he stuttered blushing.
Boys are so weird. Why do they keep turning pink? I'm just talking for crying out loud! I smiled at him and turned to the boy to my left with a smile and my hand out. He too took my hand with a Scarlett face. I noticed he had bright emerald green eyes, and jet black hair.
"Harry Potter" He smiled shyly.
I nodded at him and let go of his hand. I watched the trees outside of the window as we sped away from them. I turned back to my purse and pulled out a shrunken version of the first grade potions book. I pulled out my wand and flicked it, causing the book to go back to its normal size. Ignoring the looks the boys were giving me, I put my wand away and reread the book. The train ride was long, and I read whilst the boy's laughed and spoke aloud. About half-way through the train ride, my reading was interrupted by a feminine voice. I looked up from my book and glanced at the compartment door, where the boy's were now looking. In the door way stood a girl with bushy brown hair. She looked around at us and began to speak.
"Have any of you seen a toad? a boy named Neville's lost one" She said.
Both of the boy's shook their heads, and the girl turned to me. I smiled at her, but shook my head with a 'no sorry' look. She smiled at me and looked over at Ron. I noticed only now that he had his wand pointed at his rat, whom I've come to dislike. The girl raised her eyebrows at him and spoke again.
"Oh, your doing magic are you? lets see it then" She said.
She sat down next to Ron and looked at him expectantly. Ron focused on his rat and flicked his wand.
"Sunshine, daises, butter mellow, turn this fat rat yellow" He said.
He flicked his wand and said the 'spell', but nothing happened. The girl didn't look too impressed, as she raised her eyebrows at the supposed 'spell'.
"That's not a very good spell, is it?" She said "I've only tried a few myself, but they've all worked for me".
She turned to Harry and pulled out her wand. She pointed it at Harry's glasses, saying a spell.
"Occulos repario" She said confidently.
His glasses repaired immediately and she smiled in victory, before her eyes widened in shock.
"Holy cricket! your Harry Potter!" Her eyes widened even more.
I smiled slightly at the outraged look on Ron's face before turning to the girl.
"I'm sorry, I don't think I got your name?" I said.
She smiled at me and held her hand out, which i took politely. Shaking my hand, she introduced herself to Harry Ron and I.
"I'm Hermione Granger" She said.
"Laicey Espinoza, it's lovely to meet you Hermione" I smiled politley, letting go of her hand.
She turned to Ron with a look of pure disgust.
"And you are?" She asked, wrinkling her nose.
"Ronald Weasley" He said, his mouth full of chocolate frog.
"Charming" She looked away from him and turned to me with a smile "You three better get into your robes, I suspect we'll be arriving soon".
And with one final smile in my direction, the girl with the bushy brown hair called Hermione was out the door. I smiled and got up.
"I'll see you two in a minute. I'm going to go get into my robes" I said leaving the compartment.
