SIXTH YEAR

Y/n's POV

-It is not like I hate potions class... -you argue- I just find it kinda boring, and really difficult.

-I like it. -Hermione shrugs, a wide smile on her face. You and the golden trio were walking through the hallways, chatting excitedly. It was Friday and the boys were going to play on a quidditch match later.

-Of course you do, Mione. Your the teacher's golden girl. -Harry points out, and you nod in agreement.

-You are every teacher's golden girl. -Ron rolls his eyes, but you can't help but notice the small side smile he lets out.

-Guess someone has a crush on the golden girl... -you whisper in Harry's ear, and he chuckles.

-I guess you are right. -he playfully bumps his elbow on your arm, and you feel an arm around your shoulder:

-What are you two whispering about? -Ron asks, and you take his arm off of you.

-Such a nosy little boy.... -you boop the tip of his nose- you are not finding out.

-Yeah, we are no snitches. -Harry teases and you both laugh. You notice Hermione looking at you in a know-it-all air, but she had a mischievous expression on her face, a little side smile as she watched the group interact.

-A penny for your thoughts? -you turn to her, who just smiles.

-I just wish things could stay this way forever... -you smile sweetly at her, and the four of you continue to walk to your designated classes....

outsider narrator POV -

As the two girls walk away, Ron and Harry continue their path to the quidditch pitch. Trying to focus on the game, Harry turns around to get one last glance at the girls. Y/n was undeniably beautiful. Such a sweet girl... so brave, intelligent, sympathetic...

-Oi, Harry! -the brunette shook his head, the thoughts about his friend vanishing from his head.

-S-sorry, what?

-I asked if you were nervous. Are you? -the redhead frowned.

-Oh, no, not at all! The new gameplan is great, I'm sure we'll do just fine. We'll try our best, at least...

-Okay mate, if you say so... -he turns his head to see what was his friend looking at before, and his eyes rested on his cousin's back, distancing from them- I see...

After a short walk, the boys got to the pitch, keeping small talk alive. As they greeted their teammates, Ron had a strange look on his face. Many pieces of a puzzle he did not know existed finally fit, and something in his head clicked. Harry and Y/n. Of course, everything finally made sense! How could he have been so blind?

-You like my cousin. -Ron says, sitting down in front of The Chosen One on one of the benches in the locker room.

-What? -the brunette questions.

-Y/n. You like her, Harry, no need to deny it. -he said calmly, full of certainty.

-Where did you get this from? -the other boy chocked nervously.

-She likes you, too, you know. -Harry can't help but smile- You better take care of her. You know everything she has been through.

-I know. -he sighs, a sad smile on his face- And maybe that is one of the reasons I like her so much.
