Chapter 12

Divine's P.O.V.

Everything is going according to plan. She's slowly falling apart. I hope that Discord will feel the pain that I feel. Having family ripped away from you. I wonder if he remembers what happened. 

CLANG

What..was..that? I heard the noise get louder and closer. "Vinny...we need to talk.." a voice spoke ominously. I turned around to see a faint outline. There was no light so I couldn't see who the voice was coming from. But there was only one person who knew of that nickname. 

All of a sudden everything went black.

Flashback

I woke up to a noise coming from downstairs of my home, or what I thought was my home. I slowly walk down, groggy from being woken up from a deep sleep. Once I get into the main room, I see my brother, Discord, and my Dad standing over him.

I tried to stay hidden, but it didn't work. "HEY! GET OVER HERE!!!" my father yelled. I flinched a little but slowly walked over there. "Dad?" I said softly. "time to teach you a lesson about waking up late and being a lazy little bitch" he muttered loud enough for only me to hear as my brother slipped out of the house and ran away. He left me to save himself. Selfish bastard.

"NO FATHER NO" I would scream constantly while my dad beat me out of anger. He beat me with his bare fists. I tried to escape his grasp as he leaned over me but I ultimately failed. He grabbed me by the arm and dragged me back over to him. His hold on me was so tight that I was bound to get a bruise on my arm. 

"YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO FUCKING LISTEN. YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE MY DAUGHTER!" yelled my father. He balled his hand into a fist, and punched my jaw. I felt my face sting and burn, as he made contact with my face multiple times. After he was done, I quickly made my way out of the house, and ran. Not anywhere in particular, just out of that shitty household. 

I wanted to find my brother, but I know he's probably somewhere where he can't be found. WHAT THE HELL?? I have taken ALL of the punishment from Dad, while Mom and Discord just SAT AROUND AND DID NOTHING!! While exploring for a while, I had found a tiny cave for shelter, as it was very late, and I was exhausted and hurt. I had slowly fallen asleep, the sound of the nature around me lulling me. 

TIME SKIPPP

I slowly opened my eyes, not fully awake, back in the cave I had found as shelter for the night. Damn dreams. 

My senses went off when I heard a twig snap, indicating someone or something was nearby. I quickly got to my feet and into a defensive position, ready to attack whatever came into my makeshift home. 

As I heard footsteps get closer and closer I got ready to attack at any moment. But what entered the makeshift home was not what I expected. I look down at what had let themselves in, a bunny rabbit. "What?" I mumbled. 

I was honestly expecting something else. Thats when it hit me. I have no one left. I ran away from my abusive parents. I never want to see their faces again. Discord left me to die. He left me to face my father alone. We were so close. We did everything together. Being the Master and Mistress of Chaos, as we called ourselves. 

I felt my face get warm as tears start pouring down as I realized how alone I was. I had no one. No one to hold me up. Only myself. 

End of Flashback

(Still Divine's P.O.V.)

I woke up with a pounding headache. How long was I out? Very soon, my memories came flooding back to me. 

"WHO DID THIS?! SHOW YOURSELF YOU COWARD" I had yelled once I got to my feet. "Oh Vinny, what are you doing?" the voice said. That voice, I need to know who that is. As if this mysterious voice had read my thoughts, he came into the light. "Discord.." I hissed. "Hello Divine" he said. Was he always this proper? Probably not.

"What? No nickname? You were pretty fond of it before.." I teased. "You are hurting my family, Divine. You have NO RIGHT!" He yelled. Oh really? "ARE YOU SERIOUS? YOU HURT ME WHEN YOU LEFT ME TO DIE. Remember that Dissy?" I yelled at him. 

"Of course I do. You saved me. I just didn't have an opportunity to find you. I didn't think you would want to hurt your own family, Vinny. But here we are." He replied. "You don't get to make those excuses. Didn't have an opportunity? I bet you didn't even try. You just on went with your merry little life causing chaos! You are real grateful aren't you. Didn't even try to help the person that saved your life. Some brother you are." I shot back. 

Before he had the chance to reply, I kept going. "To really understand what I went through, you are going to watch your entire family suffer for what you did to me. Starting with your beautiful wife. A pony? Really Discord?" I threatened.

"If you touch her I will-" I quickly interrupted him. "You'll what? Kill me? Oh come on. We both know you are to soft now to do a single thing." I shot at him. When I had first woken up, I had spotted an exit behind me that I could easily get to. I quickly made my way to it. But before I had disappeared, I decided to leave him with one more thing.

"Plus we both know I was the better sibling anyway. Goodbye, my dear brother, I hope you learn you lesson." And with that I made my grand exit.

But was it true? If I was the better sibling, why did my family hate me?

A/N: How we feeling? Not gonna lie, kinda rooting for Divine rn. How do you feel about the long awaited villain backstory? I enjoyed writing this. Also, I feel like my writing gets better with every chapter I write. Anyways, lmk what you think!
