Chapter 2: Late Nights

(Marinette pov)

After using her yo-yo to pull herself onto a roof of a building, Marinette soon de transformed and Tikki fell straight into Marinettes hands, but was quickly gifted with a macaroon to get her energy up.

"That was hard Tikki, I'm glad Chat could cataclysm the akuma before it could re-infect" Mari said as she sat down with her back against the chimney, stroking her Kwamis head gently.

"It was bug-tastic, Marinette" Tikki said sweetly

"Come on, we should get going now" Mari said as she secretly climbed down the back of the apartment building using the fire escape.

Marinette soon made her way back to her house, non stop thinking of how comfortable her bed seems right now.

"Marinette! Did you see that?" Alya asked with her phone glued to her hand; presumably on her 'Ladyblog'.

"See what?" Mari asked, acting completely oblivious, as if she didn't just fight the villain

"Ladybug and Chat Noir, that was a monster, it was incredible, and Lady bug was like, then Chat Noir was just like-" Alya exclaimed, making different hand gestures, imitating the action

"Alya breathe" Marinette giggled, as she watched her best friend make herself look crazy

"You didn't see any of it?"

Mari laughed again "No, sorry. I was working on my final project for school"

Alya shook her head in despair and they walked home together, of course while Alya updated her Ladyblog whilst still talking to Marinette, telling her everything that happened earlier.

As Marinette arrived home, she greeted her parents and headed straight to her room. When she entered her bedroom, her bed was calling her name, and she couldn't get there quick enough.

Whilst her eyes began to flutter closed, exhausted from her superhero duties. She looked around her room, to see all of the Adrien pictures hanging up that she hadn't taken down in 3 years; only when Adrien happened to be in her room.

It made her think about her and Adriens relationship, and how it is going no where. Thinking about her love for Adrien, turned into thinking about the missed opportunities with other guys, like Luka.

Luka is perfect for her, if perfect even exists. He notices her for who she really is, not 'just a friend' like Adrien refers her to.

After thinking about them way too hard, she made the decision to take all of the pictures down and replace them with pictures of her and all of her friends and family; and also changed her computer screen to a picture of her and Alya.

"Are you sure about this, Marinette?" Tikki asked, as she hovered over her shoulder

"Yes Tikki, I have to be sure. After all, he's in love with Kagami, and I'm...just a friend" Marinette replied as she hung the last picture on her wall, which was a picture of her and Luka as he teaches her to play guitar. She laughed as she remembered the memory of the ear-deafening noise she made with his guitar.

Another hour or two went by and it was well past her bedtime, and she felt it too. Her eyes felt heavy and ached with each blink. She reached for her pyjamas and got ready for bed.
