I walk down the hallway feeling satisfied with myself and ignoring the screams coming from the dining hall. Now the crown will belong to me. I will be the queen of Selia.
Suddenly, I hear a door open all the way down the hallway.
I whip my head around and see my father stumbling out of the dining hall.
I walk towards him menacingly and grab the dagger in my pocket. The handle feels smooth in my hand. I trace my finger along the design etched into the handle of the dagger. The design is a picture of a tiger. When I first saw this dagger, I stared at it for a series of minutes because it was so mesmerizing. This dagger is like a piece of art, but it is also a tool. A tool used in murder, and that is exactly what I am about to do.
