Lauren's POV

"Nice job Reed!" I said to him after our song was finished, acting excited.

I'm still pissed about the whole situation with Bea. Before nwe went on stage, I was on my phone, and I saw some of Reed's tweets to Bea. It's so obvious she likes him and he likes her. Even a blind person could see that they like eachother. I just can't believe I let myself fall for Reed's good looks and amazing voice.

At least there was one good outcome from all of this; I knew I gave my performance my all. I don't mean to be arrogant, but I did pretty good. This is the first time I've gone on stage and actually felt like I've done a good performance.

"Thanks. You weren't half bad either" He said, winking. We both might've laughed, but only one of them was a true laugh.

I can't even talk to him anymore! I have to find out what's going on. We're starting to become really good friends, and I really want us to be more than that, but I don't want to go back to the bottom of the pyramid with one stupid crush.

I'm fine if he doesn't want to date me, but I just don't want him to date her.

Reed's POV

Something's up with Lauren. I just know it. My mom used to always tell me," When you have true feelings for someone, you know their every emotion. Hurt, pain, happiness, sadness, and most importantly, love."

I know mym feelings for Lauren aren't just some silly 13 year-old crush feelings. No, they were hard core, true feelings.

I might be able to tell when something's wrong, but I just need to know why.

Maybe if I play the song I wrote for her, she might agree to be more than friends.

'no, that's stupid. Why would she like a stupid song? She'll probably freaked out. You're only thirteen!' my mind told me.

'but Bea said that Lauren would love that song. Heck, any girl would love that song.' I kept arguing with myself, until Lauren came into my sight.

I ran up to her, and we both walked over to her room that she shared with Carly. We talked about basically everything, but nothing really. I loved talking to her. She always made me forget all emotions I had.

When we got into the elevator, I decided to ask her what was bothering her. The curiosity was just killing me, I couldn't bear it!

"Hey, Lauren?"

"Mm?" She replied, turning her head towards me.

"Can I ask you something? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, though" I said in a rush.

"Yeah sure, anything"

This is it. How do I put this? Oh shoot I'm so stupid! I should've planned this!

"Um...um...W-whats your favorite c-color?" I asked.

'Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!' My mind kept chanting.

"Hmmm. I don't know I guess it would be lavender or sky blue or something like that" She said, chuckling. Yup, I just ruined all chances of impressing her.

S-T-U-P-I-D!

Well, at least she didn't run away screaming like I was a demented freak.

*The next day*

.

.

This is it. This is the day we'll be finding out if I get to make it to the judges houses or not. I probably won't even make it, I mean I went against Lauren and she shredded me. She was absolutely amazing. She hit every single note and to make it better she added all the emotion she could possibly muster.

I heard both mine and Lauren's names being called to go up on stage and we both glanced at each other before we got up from our seats.

As we got up onto the stage along with some other contestants, I couldn't help but glance over at Lauren every couple seconds. 'stop it! She's mad at you!'

Hmmm, 'wow look at my hands. That's some pretty soft skin. Wait, where'd that cut come from. Maybe I got attacked by a kidnapper but he didn't have any weapons so he left his mark on me by cutting me with my music sheets on my desk, What if...'

"It's been a good experience right?", Simon started to say as we nodded in response.

"Have you enjoyed it?" we nodded again. I looked over at Lauren. Now that I think about my time in bootcamp, she's been the reason for most of my happiness. She always put a smile on my face when we hung out and I just loved to see her smile, especially at something I've said.

"The good news is we're not going to delay this any longer," Simon said, "The process we've gone through, we've reviewed every one of you.

"The decision is....bad news" Oh no. I knew it. It's over. Wait, this means Lauren didn't make it either. I looked over to see her crying. Seeing her sad made me start to cry. Why? She was amazing! I can't believe she's not going through. I'm gonna....

"You guys are going to have to work hard tomorrow because you're through to the next round" Simon said with a smirk.

Wait, what!? We made it!? Oh my god! I quickly went over to Lauren, who was a couple feet away and we both hugged each other. I was so happy I barely noticed we were hugging....OH M GOD WE'RE HUGGING!

I couldn't help it but my smile got bigger, if that was possible. Then I got an idea to woo Lauren. I've seen people do it in movies and some people are dong it right now, but I don't know if I can with both of our small frames. Well....YOLO!

I held onto Lauren's waist tightly and lifted her up and spun her around a couple times before I put her down.

"Woah" We both said at the same time. We both were walking off the stage when I decided to make a move after what happened back there. I grabbed her hand in mine and interlaced our fingers. She looked at our hands, then at me....and smiled.
