~First Day of School~

~Sasha Braus POV~

My alarm clock beeps, but I'm already awake. Iv'e been laying in bed for the last 30 minutes, scrolling through my social medias. My outfit is already picked out. And my bag is already packed.

Its the first day of my junior year and I'm suuuuper excited.

I slip on my big yellow hoodie with a sunflower on it. Then I put on some jeans with big rips at the knees. Finally I put on some black and white Jordan's to match.

I admire my outfit choice in the mirror and smile to myself.

My smile starts to fade as I reach down to my wrists...

The red lines stare back at me as a reminder of how stupid I am.

I just want to feel something again.

~Mikasa Ackerman POV~

I groan as the alarm clock beeps for me to get up.

I hit around at my bedside table before my hand finally land on the sharp edge of the wood.

"Fuck"

I hop out of my bed, and walk to the bathroom.

I let the water turn red as the blood starts to go away.

The door of the bathroom opens with a loud bang.

"Mikasa come on we're gonna be la- Is that blood?" Eren my adopted brother asks.

"It's nothing really Eren, I just hit my arm on the table." I reply not wanting to make a big deal about this.

"Okay well, come on and get dressed Uncle Levi is waiting." He says and shuts the door.

I go back to my room to slip on a big black sweatshirt and some black jeans.

"Took you long enough." Levi scoffs. He's always got some kind of snarky remark.

"Yeah yeah, let's just go I don't want to be late on my first day of school." I say and walk out the door.

~Sasha Braus POV~

I decided to walk to school because I needed some fresh air if I was going to hold up my fake smiley nature for the first day of school.

It is still somewhat summer because it is only the first day of school, but I can already start to see the red and yellow leaves falling around me.

When I finally reach the school I already see some of our friends.

Armin, Eren, and Mikasa are all standing together, and it looks like Ymir and Krista's bus just got here.

"Hey guys!" I wave and smile, although I can feel my teeth sink into my tongue. God what the fuck is wrong with me?

"Hey Sasha." Eren says with a bright smile on his face.

"Hello Sasha." Mikasa says with a small smile and a tiny pink tint on her face.

"Hey Mikasa." I say going over to stand next to her.

I hold the straps of my backpack on my thumbs, making sure to also hold a bit of my sweatshirt sleeve so that the red lines on my wrists weren't so visible.

We wait for Connie, Jean, Reiner, Annie, Bertolt and Marco to get here before we go inside.

I stay between Mikasa and Armin the whole time. Worried someone would see the cuts.

~Mikasa Ackerman POV~

I have never been one to worry about anyone besides Armin or Eren - don't get me wrong it's not that I don't care about my other friends I really do it's just I haven't grown up with them like I have Eren and Armin - but for some reason I felt inclined to check up on Sasha.

I hold out my arm across Sasha's chest to make her stop, but I guess it's a little too hard. She lets out a little gasp of air.

"Aha, mikasa what's up?" She says looking a bit flustered.

"Are you okay Sasha?" I ask in a serious tone. "You seem a bit...quiet." I add.

~Sasha Braus POV~

"You seem a bit...quiet." Mikasa says. Damn it, this is exactly why I hate not being myself around people, it's because I will eventually let my guard down.

"Oh uh, I'm okay." I say giving her a cheerful grin.

"Okay, You just seemed I dunno, not like yourself." She says one more time, it's obvious she doesn't believe me. Fuck.

"Yeah, but really Mikasa, I'm fine don't worry about me." I say the last part with a chuckle and roll my eyes.

I grab her hand and we catch up with the others.

A/N: hey guys:) hope you like it so far. I kind of took on the thing where the whole Sasha
being super nice thing is just an act because personally I think she actually has a lot of other things going on. Don't worry there will be a lot more mikasasha later on:)
