*in which you and katsuki decide to skip prom*

Boring! You and your long time best shared the same thought!

Tonight was prom for the third years of UA High.

Katsuki Bakugo. Recently heartbroken by the one who he thought loved him and all his flaws.

Y/N L/N. Never had you actually been in a relationship. You weren't stupid, you knew the only reasons guys talked to you was because they wanted to sleep with you.

Right now, in this moment, you and your long time bestie were sitting outside of a convenient store. It was located on the corner of the street and you and Katsuki knew the owner well.

The bright, flushed, slowly dimming lights from the various welcome, enter, and open signs all gleamed an ocean blue color. Shining upon the backs of the two teens.

"Tch"

"Hmm, you good, big boy?"

"Shut up don't call me that!"

You started to smile, real big, eyes squinting. Almost as if you was hiding a secret sadness.

"What's got you all worked up huh? You're the one who suggested that we go together. I wanted to skip prom, I told you that!"

"Shut up, I thought it would be a lot better!" Katsuki straightened his back, as he was coming out of his previous slumped position. Raising his hands to stretch.

"Yeah, our class is creative. The setting was nice and everything, but ion know, I wasn't feeling it. It felt like, ion even know, never mind."

"Tch, just say what you was gonna to say."

"Nah, i can't explain it, like I know what I'm thinking, but it's one of those things that is hard to put into a sentence. You know?"

"No," he paused a bit looking to the same side you were sitting on, but looking passed you into the empty street. Watching the light change from red to green, he continued, "But whatever you have to say, Y/N, I'm listening."

Katsuki features were calm, but you could see the storm of anger in his eyes. It wasn't his natural fed-up anger, but an anger powered by his broken heart and betrayal.

You knew he was so excited for prom, and even though Camie was from a different school, he would be able to bring her as a prom date. Fortunately the school started to talk about prom preparations months before it came. And Katsuki made sure to let Camie know around the same time he and the rest of the class had found out. They had months to prepare, he wanted everything to be perfect. Unfortunately a few weeks before prom he went to remind Camie about prom and the day that it would take place, only to catch in her mother's bed with some guy from her hero course class.

Angry couldn't even begin to describe how he felt. He was furious. Beyond pissed off.

But he still decided to go to prom, thinking that it would ease his mind.

You on the other hand, you weren't so excited about prom. That word just wasn't it. You've never felt real love in your life. The only thing you knew was Katsuki and his friendship. His weird way of expressing himself, his flaws and his failures, but also his amazing and accomplishing moments. You saw it all.

But that's not what prom was to you. You were happy that Katsuki took you, but at the same time you wanted to be with someone who would give you the world on a silver platter. Though you knew you didn't deserve that. You tried your best to stay away from most guys, though the bakusquad guys and some of the other dudes in you class were always so nice around you. Some.
