Lee Chaewon has been on BigHits waiting list to debut for almost 2 months now. BigHit and it's managers have struggled to find her a group considering they aren't debuting girl groups at the moment, and she has stated many times she doesn't want to be a solo artist and she'd rather have a group.

She was only a trainee at BigHit for 4 months before they announced she could debut, she was in the same company as her sister until she got casted and offered to be under BigHit, and her mother being her mother made her take up the offer since the company was so huge because of its big boy band, BTS.

Confused on why they offered to take her up under their company when they weren't casting any girl groups, they explained it was because they wanted a female soloist and thought that's the career she wanted, which is obviously not what she wanted. An Idol isn't even what she wanted in the first place, she always wanted to be a teacher in a pre-school. She was forced into going to dance classes constantly by not even just her mother, but her father too. They wanted her to be this perfect figure just like her sister, and her being 12 she had no chance or choice of getting out of it and now even if she wants to be a teacher after this idol career, she would need to go to college for a certain few years which she felt was too late.

Chaewon was doing vocal lessons for two hours in the producing room with her vocal coach. She has never seen the point of vocal classes that last hours on end, it always ends up making your voice hoarse and scratchy, but she had no say in what she does in the BigHit building at least.

As Chaewon was finishing up her lessons, she got startled by the ringing of her phone on the couch. She quickly took it into her hands out of fright and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hello Chaewon, it's your manager" She heard from the other side and let out a soft sigh. 'what does he want now' she thought to herself. He only ever calls her when he needs something, never anything productive. "We have news for you, so if you can come into the main practice room within the next few minutes that would be great."

"Alright." she replied blankly with no emotion and hung up the phone while taking the headset she had on, off.

She could hear what sounded like a group of people talking, as if she was about to walk in on some meeting that was on. She pushed open the big wooden door to the main dance room to see her manager and 4 staff members huddled around each other. In confusion she slowly paced towards them.

"I'm here, what did you want?" she asked inviting herself into the small circle of staff.

"We have news" a staff member replied glancing at her and smiling. 'Why is he smiling at me' Chaewon thought.

"I gathered that" she answered leading the smile to wipe off his face. "What's the news you needed me so urgently for?, do you want me to write another song that i'll never release?"

"Actually, no" her manager said facing towards her with a dead stare. "This news will actually move you forward, but if you don't want that then i guess i won't tell you."

"Okay"

"What? Why do you act as if you don't want to be here all the time, we are giving you a career" She ignored his remark and brought her attention to his hand, he was holding paper that looked to be stapled together.

"What's this?,"She asked, taking the paper from his grip and holding it up to his face. "and why does it have my name on it?"

"That's what we've been trying to get to, but you keep cutting us off from getting there" The second staff member replied. She was quite short, Chaewon thought. She could probably step on her, which was a recurring thought that goes through her head.

"Or maybe you're too short to get there"

"Chaewon!" the manager partially yelled, snatching the paper back from her.

"Sorry" she spoke in a low tone, once again with zero emotion to her voice, as if she didn't have care enough to give any.

"This paper is something i need you to sign and it's very important so don't mess around" He said stiffly not blinking as he observed the paper he held.

"How am i supposed to sign something that's in Chinese? I'm not signing something i don't know what it says" She replied crossing nee arms over one another. The manager looked panicked but continued to explain what was on the random sheet.

"Good point. I'll tell you what it says," he said re-taking the paper up in front of him, gathering the other 3 staff around him. "basically you just need to sign it to say you want to go through with the offer that's written here"

"What's the offer?" Chaewon asked getting him to spit it out and get to the point, as it sounds like he's avoiding telling her.

"We found the group we want you to be in"
