Here we go again, another story! This one will certainly be interesting. Mulan is one of my favourite Disney characters of all time, so I'm looking forward to writing this!
Also, Minsheng means 'voice of the people', and I thought that matched pretty well to Mulan :D

Third Person POV
The dark sky above shadows the Great Wall of China, as a flag waves gently through the cold breeze. Soldiers walk along the wall, patrolling the area to look out for anyone who dares to intrude. With a spear in his hand, one specific soldier glances around cautiously, but then gets shoved forward when a falcon flies just above his head, knocking off his helmet.
The dull-coloured falcon sets itself down on a flagpole and glances at the soldier, its yellow eyes illuminating mysteriously in the moonlight. It suddenly cries out, as if it's calling for something, or someone. A grapnel flies over the wall and clings onto one of the many stones that makes it.
The soldier gasps and walks toward the side of the wall to see who is down there. Before he can do that, thousands of other grapnels fly overhead and attach to the wall. "We're under attack!" the soldier yells, running toward the nearest post. "Light the signal!"
Two ruffians open the door of the post, one of them holding a sword in his hand. The one with the sword is round with a gold earring on his right ear. The other is quite skinny with long, black hair. The soldier steps back and quickly climbs up the ladder as the ruffians attempt to attack him, however their attempts are unsuccessful.
The soldier grabs a hold of the torch on the post and goes to light the fire pit, until a cloaked figure jumps over the side of the wall. The figure is tall and muscle-y, with yellow eyes that match his falcon companion. The eagle perches on his shoulder and squawks loudly. The soldier throws the torch into the fire pit, making the fire pit roar and crackle.
The soldiers on the other posts light their fire pits as well, yelling incoherently. "Now all of China knows you're here," the soldier scowls. The cloaked man snaps off the flag beside him and holds it in the fire, his falcon flying off.
"Perfect," the man smirks.

General Li and two other soldiers step into the Emperor's throne room. They halt by the stairs and bow respectively to the Emperor, as everyone should do when seeing him. "Your Majesty, the Huns have crossed our northern border," General Li informs.
"Impossible!" Chi-Fu scoffs. "No one can get through the Great Wall." The Emperor silences Chi-Fu with just the raising of his hand.
"Shan-Yu is leading them," General Li adds. The Emperor squints, like he's thinking of a solution. "We'll set up defenses around your palace immediately."
"No," the Emperor declines, "send your troops to defend my people. Chi-Fu?"
"Yes, your Highness?" Chi-Fu bows.
"Deliver conscription notices throughout all the provinces," orders the Emperor. "Call up reserves and as many new recruits as possible."
"Forgive me, your Majesty," General Li says, "but I believe my troops can stop him."
"I won't take any chances, General. A single grain of rice can tip the scale," the Emperor maintains. "One man may be the difference between victory and defeat."
