Your POV

The birds tweet and fly across the endless blue, pink and orange celestial sphere. Your tent is secluded away from the others, but you're perfectly fine with that. The peace and quiet over there may be the only thing keeping you sane, plus Minsheng and Khan.

Unfortunately, the tent is poorly set up and might blow away in the heavy winds at night at any moment. However, you'll have to deal with that for now. With being in the army, you might not have any time at all to fix it.

At the moment, you sleep peacefully on the grass in your tent. You suddenly wake up at the noise of Cri-Kee being used as a make-shift alarm clock. "All right, rise and shine, Sleeping Beauty!" Mushu smiles, looming over you. "Come on, hup, hup, hup!" He taps you on the head.

You groan and bring the blanket over your head. You forgot that everything you did yesterday actually happened. Leaving home, getting beat up, making enemies... just a normal day. Mushu drags the blanket off of you, making you shiver in the morning cold.

"Get your clothes on, got breakfast for ya!" Mushu continues. You stretch your arms out, sighing contently. "Look, you get porridge. And, it's happy to see you!" You glance down at the porridge that Mushu is holding out to you, to see two eggs beside each other and a curled up piece of bacon underneath.

You raise an eyebrow at Mushu's cooking, but it's not like you'll get any better food. Cri-Kee pops his out from under the porridge, chirping and smiling. "Get outta there! You gonna make people sick," Mushu grumbles, using the chopsticks in his hand to throw Cri-Kee out of the bowl.

"Am I late?" you ask quietly as you itch the back of your head.

"No time to talk," Mushu replies, stuffing the food into your mouth. "Remember, it's your first day of training. Listen to your teacher and no fightin', play nice with the other kids, unless one of the other kids wanna fight, then you have to kick the other kid's butt."

"But I don't wanna kick the other kid's butt," you muffle with porridge dripping down your chin.

"Don't talk with your mouth full," Mushu scolds. "Now, let's see your war face!" You look up at Mushu with a quizzical look, porridge still in your mouth. There's a little too much to be able to swallow. "I think my bunny slippers just ran for cover, come on! Scare me, girl!" Mushu yells, grabbing your collar as he throws away the porridge behind him. The only thing worrying you is how he just wasted perfectly good food.

You furrow your eyebrows and growl. Mushu throws himself into what's left over of the porridge bowl, and exclaims, "Yeah, that's my tough lookin' warrior!" He slides up your shoulders and ties up your hair into a bun. "That's what I'm talkin' about. Now, get out there and make me proud."

Khan steps out in front of your tent and neighs in a warning tone. "What do you mean the troops just left?" Mushu asks while you put on your robe.

"They what?" you gasp. You throw on whatever clothes are near you and almost fall out the tent trying to put your shoes on.

"Wait [Y/N], you almost forgot your sword!" Mushu cries out, dragging your sword in his dangly noodle arms. However, you're already making your way toward the troops.

You see a long line of men chatting and laughing amongst themselves. You join in with them, rubbing the back of your neck, embarrassed. "Hello, Ping, are ya hungry?" Ling asks, getting all up in your face. You inch backwards uncomfortably. Yao joins in.

"Yeah, 'cause I owe you a knuckle sandwich," he growls. He grabs your collar and pulls you in, holding his fist up threateningly.

"C'mon guys, back off," you hear a voice say. You smile with relief when you see Minsheng approaching you. He helps you up and stands beside you.
