"Rafaella, are you sure that these lyrics aren't about Cristiano?" I ask.
"Yeah," Rafaella answers, "Why?"
"Because these lyrics really sound like they are...." I say.
"Which part?" She asks.
"All of it," I answer.
"Wait, I thought you weren't gonna rap it," Rafaella said smiling.
(I'm thinking about it)
"Eu estou pensando sobre isso" I say in Portuguese so Lupe won't understand.
(Please! For Her)
"Por favor! Para ela" Rafaella respond, pleading.
(And the lyrics? They're about him!)
"E as letras? Eles são sobre ele!" I say.
Taking a deep breath Rafaella responds,"Forget the lyrics, just do this. Please."
Lupe bites her lip, waiting for an answer from me.
And without thinking I answer: "Yes"
"YAY!" Rafaella shouted in excitement.
Lupe got out of her seat and hugged me, "Thank you" she whispered.
I hug her back and smile.
"So do you want me to record the lyrics or what?" I say jokingly.
Lupe laughs and responds with a nod.
"Just go in the booth and show us what you can do!"
I go in the booth, put the headphones on and give the thumbs up.
The music started and all I could do was rap my short verse:
She's my new girl, you didn't see that comin riiiight
Yo 7, you made a big mistake riiiight?
Letting her go. You thought she'd come back to youuu?
Well you were wrong!

She don't need your cries

The music ended and I put the headphones around my neck.
"How was that?" I ask through the microphone
"It was perfect!" Lupe exclaims, "You're a good rapper Ney."
I smile at the complement and respond with "Thanks Lupe."
I walk out of the booth with a smile and continue to hug Lupe.
"Thank you again for doing this," Lupe said.
"No problem," I say.
I pulled back from the hug and smiled at Rafaella.
"You guys wanna go out?" Rafaella says out of no where.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"Like, outside..." Rafaella explained.
"But we just went out," Lupe said
"No, YOU guys went out. Not me," Rafella says.
"Sure, I guess..."
"Ok, Rafa. Let's go!" Lupe said smiling.
I put one arm around Lupe and the other around Rafaella as we walk out of the studio.
"Where to?" I ask.
"McDonald's! I'm starving!" Rafaella exclaims.
We walk to the McDonalds across the street, and order 4 20-piece chicken nuggets for all of us to share.
"Imma go to the restroom kay," Rafaella says before leaving to find the restrooms.
Lupe and I sit next to each other at a table as we wait for our nuggets.
"Today was a fun day," Lupe said.
"I know. And I can't believe you're my fake girlfriend now," I say.
"Listen. You don't have to do that... I wasn't thinking, and I should have given you a choice," Lupe apologies.
"But I do want to do it," I said awkwardly.
"You do?" Lupe asked hopeful, "but it ok, you don't need too."
"But I want to," I whisper.
Lupe looks at me with a sincere smile and hugs me.
What's with girls hugging me today? I might be da boss then.
She slowly pulls away from the hug and looks at me, thankfully.
She leans in slowly. I thought it was another hug. But then I realized it wasnt.
She gave me a soft kiss on the lips. I was surprised but kissed back. The kiss lasted 15 seconds and then she pulled back and looked me in the eyes.
Did Lupe just kiss ME?!? Not the other way around?!?
Lupe was about to lean back in but Rafaella came to spoil the moment.
I sat awkwardly in silence, Lupe doing the same.
"Why are you guys being so awkward and quiet?" Rafa asked, "y'all act like you just kissed or somethin."
Oh, no
"Really Rafa?" Lupe asked playfully, playing it off cool.
"You're right. But I know something else is up, I know it," Rafa answers.
Seconds later our order number was called and our order finally was ready, and Rafa went to go get it at the register.
Lupe and I were "alone" again. And this was the perfect time to ask Lupe the question I have been wondering since 5 minutes ago...
I face Lupe and ask,
"Lupe do you have feelings for me?"
