The year was 1923... in the streets of London. His name was James a factory worker making less
than you could imagine. His dad was the CEO of the company which he worked at, the company
made parts for cars and has been for more than a decade. The time came when the company
filled for bankruptcy, many local businesses had also been closing and the government was
doing nothing to help the people in need. It was now time for James to clock-out and go home
for the night. "Bye, Adam", James said as he clocked out, "bye, James" Adam said in a rush to
beat the rush hour traffic home. James was not doing so good himself, he had a terrible living
condition no wife no kids and aged at 46. He lived in a tiny apartment and owed so much money
bills stacked up like leaves in a pile. "Finally i'm home", James said stressed, in this apartment
he had one bedroom and one bathroom and living space that acted as both the kitchen and
living room. He did not mind the small space as he only had to care for himself, at that moment
there was a pound at the door. "James we know you are in there, the landlord told us" the debt
collectors said in a aggressive tone. James sat there in silence hoping they would leave. Minutes
later they walked away, James opened the door making sure the area was clear. Just as James
was about to close the door he heard his name being called "James, James Weston, could we
have a quick talk with you", "I have told you guys 100 times, I don't have the money". "James we
are not here for your money", James turned around and was surprised to see cops at the door
"i'm sorry officers, how may i help you" James said relieved. "We are here regarding your father"
the cops said, "yes, what about my father" James said. "We regret to inform you, that your father
has passed", one of the officers said. James fell to the ground.
