They unlocked the door even more slowly, and let Margot out. Everyone just stood in silence for a moment and in that moment no one looked at eachother, no one spoke a word. It was so silent you could hear a pin drop, the moment felt tense and like if they spoke a bomb would go off then the silence was broke by the sound of noisy children entering the classroom finally when the rest of the class was in the classroom margot ran out of the class room crying the rest of the class just looked confused. While margot was in the bathroom her salty tears poured like an overflowing fountain finally after several minutes she wiped her tears while she thought about what she would do when she walked back into class, she considered her various options"well i could try and tell the teacher about what had happened but that would've meant the other kids would get in trouble... right? She looked at her reflection in the bathroom mirror and thought to herself "but they deserve to get in trouble don't they". No of course not I would jus tbe a tattle tale if i told on them maybe i'll just pretend like nothing happened yeah I like that option better". Then as she was about to leave the bathroom all the lights went out... Then in that moment the tears came flooding back into her small pale blue eyes as she cried alone inthe dark she remembered what it was like to be back in that small dark closet all alone, ofcourse she was used to the feeling of being alone but this feeling was different. she wasforcefully put into the closet and for two hours she banged and banged and called out for helpas she had to listen to the other children play and laugh. They danced around in the sunlightwhile she had to stay in a dark lonely closet, it was her only chance to feel the warmth of thesun on her face. That is the true feeling of sadness and loneliness and what it feels like to have aray of hope be squished by complete darkness. She walked back to her classroom and sat at herdesk and didn't say a word throughout the rest of the day. The kids who locked her in the closetthought about apologizing but one kid said "why should we apologize it's not like we did anything wrong, besides she gets to earth next year, she will be able to see the sun all shewants so what's the matter in making her wait just a bit longer". The only thing we should be doing is making sure she doesn't say anything to the teacher" some of the kids nod as a way ofshowing they agree, the rest walk away showing they think that they should apologize finallyit's the end of the day some of the class walks up to margot and they just stand there some looking at the floor and the rest look at her straight in the eye with a kind of expression that show they mean business one of the boys says to her "hey umm... margot? you wouldn't have happened to tell on us would you?, because it was just a silly little joke we didn't mean to forget about you and leave you in the closet we meant to let you out but the sun came out and we just got side tracked and kinda forgot about you..." margot said nothing. She just turnedaround and started walking as she reached the doorway she said " I didn't tell" and walked out the door. Finally the day came that margot was supposed to go back to earth with her parents, margot was sitting at her desk finishing up some school work when finally the school bell rangand that meant it was the end of the day. As margot was grabbing her bag and getting ready to leave school with her parents so they could go down to earth, the students were saying their goodbyes to her and some of the goodbyes were nice but some were a bit unpleasant like "bye you lucky idiot" or "see ya you lucky pale idiot" as she was leaving the school she saw her parents and finally they left the planet. As Margot was thinking about the goodbyes she was given, she remembered the one that really stuck with her. It was by a boy who commented about her pale looking skin, oftentimes other kids would comment about her frail bodystructure and pale skin but she couldn't blame them she would probably make commentsabout it too, they also didn't know the full story of why she looked like such a fragile little girl...You see margot's family wasn't going back to earth because they missed the sun it was somargot could get better treatment because she has cancer, the treatment on venus was notworking as well as they had hoped it would, so they are going down to earth so margot mighthave a better chance at treatment but when they reached earth she had to be rushed to thehospital and be prepped for surgery. Soon after her surgery was performed she woke up in a hospital bed, she saw her parents had a sadenning expression on their face. Margot was confused, then a light bulb lit up. Finally it hither, she turned and looked at her clock. It was 8:19 AM, then she looked out her window and saw a gorgeous sunrise. The sky was a light pink with a fadening of blue and yellow there were also white clouds. And there in the sky was a big ball of light that she had been wishing to see all those years, there it was right in front of her she smiled, then looked at her mother and father and said "the sky looks beautiful right now, mom, dad why don't you sit next to me and watch the sunrise with me? Also i'm going to be ok so I just want to let you know I love you guys" as they watched the sun come up and out of hiding a sound that no one wishes to hear i na hospital a flat line from a heart monitor and her last word were " the sun really does look like a flower".
