CHAPTER THREE
- Klaus -
Her blood. It's like the sweetest, more rare wine there could ever be. However, there's something different about her blood; it's sweeter than what I've ever come across and I'm already addicted to it. I don't know how long I drank from her, but I noticed her skin to become slightly paler so I stopped feeding. The last thing I want to do is hurt her.
Sibi covers Saronna's puncture wound and I can't bring myself to look in their eyes.
The fear emanating from Saronna is palpable in the air so I try to communicate through thought.
"Thank you for helping me, I didn't mean to frighten you."
Just as I finish the thought, a glass cup is flung in my direction.
"JUST STOP! FUCKING STOP! STAY OUT OF MY HEAD YOU BLOODSUCKER! I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR DEAL IS, BUT I WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE!"
She begins to cry and asks Sibi to leave and take me with her. Sibi agrees and I feel like my body is being incinerated, vein by vein.
I'd rather my flesh be torn or burned away than this feeling.
As we turn to leave, I hear Saronna mumble 'vampires aren't real, but crazy motherfuckers sure are'.
Ouch, that was harsh.
"Sorry Klaus, welcome to your first taste of rejection," says Sibi.
The way in which she told me that sounded like there was much more to come.
Damn.

Vampires aren't real.
And I just let a crazy ass motherfucker possibly give me a disease or something by biting into my skin!
I glance down at the two wounds on my wrist that have already scabbed.
Well that's strange, I think to myself.
I don't want to think about this anymore.
I double-check the front door to make sure it's locked and for once, my head isn't filled with that creepy guy's voice.
'But how does he do it?'
Fuck, I don't know. Seriously Saronna, you can't be all frustrated and bent out of shape now.
I must be crazy already if I spend this much time talking to myself!
Making my way to the bathroom, I look outside of my massive window and notice Siobhan staring at me. Raising my eyebrows in question, her milky skin turns a reddish color and offers a small smile in my direction. I return a quick smile then close the curtains.
Her sadness overwhelms my senses. Honestly, I didn't think she'd be so upset over this whole incident.
But hey, she's probably crazy too.
Brushing my thoughts off, I shower quickly and think of something to do.
I know! Dancing always makes me feel better. I don't know of any dance clubs in particular, but all you have to do is walk 5 minutes up the lane and you'll be in the metropolitan area and something will find you.
'Something will find you', interesting choice of words I used.
I straighten my Afro which now almost comes to my shoulders and put on a silver off-the-shoulder silk shirt and blank skinny jeans. I put on thigh-high silver boots and do my makeup quickly.
