CHAPTER TWO
- Saronna -
I'm startled awake by a knock at the door. Quickly arising and shielding my eyes from the sunlight peeking through the massive window, I open my door only to come face-to-face with a emerald-eyed woman with hair the color of lava. Her milky skin is littered with what appear to be love bites, but she's otherwise modestly presenting herself.
"Hello, you must be the new tenant! I'm Siobhan!" She extends her pale hand eagerly.
"I'm Saronna, please come in."
I lead the way to the already furnished living room and Siobhan wastes no time making herself comfortable in my home. Before I can formulate anything to say, she already starts talking.
"I'm so happy there's someone new here! Especially an American! I'm Irish and I know what it's like to be in a different environment for awhile. But first off, has anyone told you about the locals?"
The ones that stare like they haven't seen a black person? Haha no. I gather my decency and answer with a short,
"No, why?"
Siobhan eyes me with an unreadable expression.
"Well Austria is known for it's music, architecture as well as something else..." She pauses a moment for some type of dramatic emphasis, "Vampires and other types of supernatural creatures."
I can't help myself and begin to laugh loudly. This bitch is crazy!
"Yeah right." Siobhan rolls her eyes and the frustration I sense from her tells me that she really believes that bullshit.
"You know Saronna, it seems like you're looking at life with the wrong lens. Open your eyes and you'll be surprised with what you see."
I glance at Siobhan only to find her eyes a pale gold color then return to their normal color, green. Maybe I'm just seeing things, I haven't slept well in a few days. Fucking weird.
"Eh, maybe you're right" I say.
Siobhan snorts loudly.
"Of course I'm right! I'd love to stay but I have to get going," She makes her way to the door only to turn with one last statement, "You never know who could be around the corner."
The door closes silently and her words are etched into my brain.

- Klaus -
"Yep, she's as beautiful as you said Klaus."
I'm pulled from my daydream only to hear the voice of Siobhan, a friend of mine and lover of Jax. Well, lover of the week.
"Yes, I'm aware." Even though Siobhan (Sibi for short) was only trying to be nice, my territorial side comes out. No one touches what is mine.
"Always so fucking stoic Klaus. You're going to have a difficult time wooing Saronna."
Saronna, the name is heaven to my ears. Saronna...
I see Sibi's face and I recognize the expression.
The smirk on her face tells me she's going to take delight in what is said next. I motion my hand for her to continue.
"She doesn't believe vampires exist. Well anything supernatural at all."
"So?" I can just convince her.
"I know what you're thinking Klaus," she lets out a laugh laced with mockery, "I'll just convince her. Well she laughed in my face, she thinks this is all hearsay from the locals and crazy tourists."
