Grad party

I was in my room getting ready for the party with my roommate/teammate/best friend from U of Minnesota who came to Canada for the first time in her life since she's from Utah. Later on for my graduation party, the first half of it will be everyone there, friends and family but when it starts to get late, my parents said it could just be my friends and I. There will be a lot of alcohol there too most likely so of course there will be a lot of them spending the night which will be fun.
I never dress up but today I let my hair down in loose curls and wore a red silk dress that was actually comfy because it was loose, but tight in all the right places. I wore small slip on pump heels that were black also.

I hear a knock at my door thinking it was my mom telling me that people were starting to arrive because it was 4:30, the party starts at 5.
I look over to my door and notice Dylan standing there.
"Surprise" he says.
I do a little jog over to him and jump into his arms, giving him a big hug.
"I thought you couldn't make it. I thought you weren't able to leave until next week."
"You only graduate once from college Pay. This is a big day to celebrate that. Of course I'm going to be here."

I'm just missing one person- my little brother, Matthew. He's in the last round of the playoffs and if they win, they'll be playing for the cup which I'm so happy for him to be doing but would also love for him to be here.
"Oh, and Will is downstairs." He adds before he walks out my door.
"What time is it?" I ask Makenna.
"3:28. Why? And who's Will?"
I was a little confused.
"Wills my friend from Toronto, he plays for the leafs and I had no idea he was coming this early. They all said they'll be here around 6."
"I'm going down to help your mom set up while you finish getting ready, do you want me to tell him to come up?"
I shake my head yes.

"Hi" he says quietly while walking in my room and sits on my bed as I'm at my mirror doing my makeup.
"Hey, what are you doing here now? Why didn't you tell me you were coming."
"Sorry, just figured I'd come early and hang with you. Plus I wanted to give you something while we're alone."
"No, it's okay Will. I just thought you all were riding together. What do you mean?"
"Here." He hands me a Christmas bag which made me laugh. "Sorry, had no graduation bags"
"Oh my gosh. What is this? Are you joking? Is this just a box from there, nothing to go with it?" I start to freak out after seeing a small blue box at the bottom of the huge bag.
You know what blue means- Tiffany's.
"Just open it Payton."
I pull it out slowly peeking my eye in the box and seeing a ring. When we were downtown shopping a few weeks ago, we went into the store and Will bought himself a bracelet and I was saying how much I loved a ring in there but would never pay that much. When I started to walk outside, he must've bought that also.
I literally start to tear up and all I could do is give him a hug and I lay on him.
"Aw, Will.. you listened to me and know my ring size too. You're doing too much. You literally didn't have to get me this at all. And the Venus flowers look- they're over on my desk." I say to him and Makenna walks back in along with my brother Ryan to see what we were up to.
"Hey man, didn't know you were here. Where's Mitch?"
"He came early" I inform Ryan.
"Of course he did- to see you" he smirks and leaves.

"Thank you so much Willy. Love you man"
"Love you too P." He reaches over, grabs my jaw and brings me in close to give me a kiss. I knew what was happening and I let it. My eyes get very wide open though as I wasn't expecting us to do that at the same time.
"Sorry, I should get downstairs to see if they're is here yet."
"Will- it's okay. It was nice" I smile and close my door in his face.

"What the hell was that?" Makenna asked coming out of my bathroom.
I leave it at that.

Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins all arrive along with some of my friends from home and Toronto and only a few from school which was very nice to see again.
I introduce my school friends to Stephanie because they would definitely get along for the night while I'm away talking to family.

Towards the end of the night when everyone started to leave, I was inside getting ice for my drink and Steph follows behind me.
"What's up with you?"
"Um... what? What do you mean?"
"Between you and Will. I can definitely sense somethings up between you two."
"Did you know he came early? Did you know he gave me a freaking Tiffany's ring? Look-" I point out my finger. "Did you know we kissed?! Because that all happened."
She just stood there kind of stunned.
We talked for a little bit about it and she calmed me down but also made me think a lot more about what happened.

Auston and I haven't really spoke tonight either besides when he came in my house.

I had such a fun night. Just hung out, ate, and played games. 12:15am came around and I was already very tired and didn't realize it was that late. I go to my room to get comfy clothes on while everyone else goes to my basement where we're all sleeping. The only people who stayed in the basement 'sleepover' was Makenna, Steph, Mitch, Will, Auston, my cousin Brennen, and Mitch.

I came out of my bathroom to find Will laying on my bed and I sit next to him. We didn't talk- we just lied there in silence. Eventually we both fell asleep together in my bed while everyone else was downstairs.

The next morning, we all woke up pretty late, around noon. I notice everyone was here but Auston. I look over at Steph who knows my facial expressions.
She nodded her head slight left and right and mouthed, "he left."
"Why?" I mouthed back.
She came over to me and pulled me to the side table. "He said he walked in on you and Will last night in bed together. He likes you Payton and he just seen you two fell asleep in your bed and was upset because he told me that's what you guys did the night of the celebration when you came to Toronto."

To: Auston Matthews- "where are you?"
> "why did you leave?"
> "I'm sorry Auston, I promise nothing happened, we literally just fell asleep in my bed last night."
< "I'll talk to you later, I'm leaving to go back home to Arizona in a week so it's fine. You and Will can be together I just thought we had something. You two have way more chemistry. I seen a new ring on your finger. I seen you guys kiss when I got to the house. I seen the flowers he got you on your snap story the other day. I just want you to be happy."
