Chapter 35: The Ending
The grand hall was a sight to behold, a true masterpiece of elegance and royalty. High, vaulted ceilings were adorned with intricate carvings of celestial patterns, their golden accents shimmering under the glow of countless chandeliers. Each crystal sparkled like stars, casting a warm, ethereal light over the room. The long red carpet stretched from the grand entrance to the altar, lined with white roses and lilies. Ornate pews were filled with dignitaries, friends, and family, all dressed in their finest, eagerly awaiting the union of their King and Luna.
In the private preparation room just beyond the hall, Taehyung sat in front of a gilded mirror, dressed in a flowing white outfit that gleamed like fresh snow. Delicate embroidery of silver and pearls adorned the fabric, symbolizing purity and strength. His crown, a masterpiece of artistry, sat waiting on a velvet cushion nearby, ready to be placed upon his head once he was named Luna.
Taehyung's heart raced, but his thoughts were focused on one person. He turned to Jin, who stood beside him, adjusting the hem of his cloak. "Hyung," Taehyung began, his voice soft but filled with worry. "Where's Jimin? He promised he'd be here."
Jin exchanged a glance with Mr. Joo, Taehyung's trusted butler, who stepped forward with a slight bow. "I've just received word, Leader Kim. Mr. Park is on his way and should arrive any moment."
As if on cue, the doors to the room burst open, revealing Jimin, panting and slightly disheveled. His golden hair was windswept, and his outfit, though impeccable, showed signs of his rushed arrival. "I'm so sorry!" Jimin exclaimed, his voice tinged with guilt. "There was an urgent matter I had to attend to, but I'm here now."
Taehyung rose from his seat, his worries melting away as he crossed the room to embrace his dearest friend. He wrapped his arms tightly around Jimin, burying his face in his shoulder. "I missed you so much," Taehyung whispered, his voice trembling with emotion.
Jimin chuckled softly, his hand rubbing soothing circles on Taehyung's back. "I missed you too, Tae. I'll never be late again, I promise," he said, pressing a light kiss to the top of Taehyung's head.
Pulling back slightly, Taehyung looked into Jimin's warm eyes. "You're so important to me, Hyung. You know that, don't you?"
Jimin's smile was tender, his voice equally soft. "And you're important to me, Taehyung. Always."
Their moment was interrupted by a soft knock on the door. One of the staff stepped in, bowing politely. "Leader Kim, it's time. The ceremony is about to begin."
Taehyung inhaled deeply, a mixture of nerves and excitement fluttering in his chest. Sensing his hesitation, Jimin took his hand, offering a reassuring smile. "I'll be right beside you. You're not alone."
Buoyed by Jimin's presence, Taehyung nodded and hooked his arm around Jimin's. Together, they made their way to the grand entrance.
As the massive castle doors creaked open, the harmonious sound of a live orchestra filled the air. Strings, brass, and woodwinds played a regal melody, their music flowing like a gentle river through the hall. The guests rose to their feet, their collective gaze turning toward Taehyung.
Jungkook stood at the altar, dressed in a deep black suit that contrasted beautifully with the silver accents of his crown and ceremonial sash. His eyes locked onto Taehyung, and his breath caught in his throat. Taehyung looked ethereal, almost otherworldly, and Jungkook felt tears sting his eyes as a smile spread across his face.
Step by step, Jimin and Taehyung made their way down the carpet, the Omega's presence commanding awe and admiration. When they reached the altar, Jimin paused to turn to Jungkook. He placed Taehyung's hand in Jungkook's and met the Alpha's gaze with a serious expression. "Take care of him, Jungkook," Jimin said firmly, his voice filled with emotion.
"I will," Jungkook promised, his voice steady.
Jimin smiled softly, stepping aside to stand next to Yoongi, giving the couple their moment.
Jungkook turned to Taehyung, his voice trembling with emotion. "You look so beautiful," he whispered, his eyes drinking in every detail of Taehyung's face.
Taehyung blushed, his lips curving into a soft smile. "And you look as handsome as ever," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
The priest began the ceremony, his deep voice resonating through the hall. "We are gathered here today to witness the union of two souls destined to rule with love and strength. Jungkook, Taehyung, do you pledge to stand by each other, in health and sickness, in joy and sorrow, for all the days of your lives?"
"I do," Jungkook said without hesitation, his eyes never leaving Taehyung's.
"I do," Taehyung echoed, his voice steady and full of emotion.
The priest smiled warmly. "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you King and Luna of this land. You may seal your union with a kiss."
Jungkook stepped forward, his hands gently cradling Taehyung's face. Their eyes met, and for a moment, the world seemed to fade away. He leaned in, capturing Taehyung's lips in a kiss that was both tender and passionate, conveying all the love and devotion he felt for him. Taehyung responded with equal fervor, his hands gripping Jungkook's shoulders as the crowd erupted into applause.
When they finally pulled apart, Jungkook rested his forehead against Taehyung's, their breaths mingling as they shared a soft laugh. Jin, Namjoon, and Hoseok congratulated them for their wedding. Yoongi too with Jimin beside him. Jong-gook put the crown on Taehyung and Jungkook's head as a declaration that they were now the leader of all clans.
Ji-hye approached them with a warm smile, carrying their two-year-old son, Taejung. "Congratulations," she said, handing the child to them.
Jungkook and Taehyung held Taejung together, each placing a kiss on his chubby cheeks. The boy giggled, his laughter a sweet melody that seemed to complete the moment. The photographer captured the scene-the new King, the Luna, and their child, framed by the grandeur of the hall and the love that bound them together. And later took pictures with their important loved ones.
As the guests cheered and celebrated, Jungkook and Taehyung exchanged a glance, their hearts full of joy and hope for the future. Together, they would rule their land with love, their family by their side, and their bond unbreakable.
