                 VITO'S POV
"What does she mean when she said she's had worse?" I asked when Raffaella was out of earshot. "That's something you will have to ask her yourself." Her sister Gianetta answered. Weird, I thought. "Can you give me directions to her room?" I asked Gianetta. "Sure. It's up the stairs and to the right." She responded. I headed to her room and knocked on the door. "Come in" she yelled from inside her room. I opened the door to see her on her bed, surrounded by stacks of papers. "Oh, hi Vito. What did you need?" She asked me looking up from her work. "Well, I wanted to check on you and maybe get to know you," I said nervously. Jeez, since when do I get nervous around girls? But she's not any girl, I thought. "Well, you may sit." She said patting the end of her bed as she moved her papers off of the bed. "So, are you in High school?" I asked her. "Yes, the girls and I start our senior year at Jefferson high on Monday." She said. Great! We go to the same school. "Well, I guess we'll be seeing a lot more of each other, me and the boys also go there," I told her and she smiled. God her smile is so beautiful. Beautiful? What am I talking about? "Well, what else would you like to know?" She asked cocking her head. "Where did you live before moving here?" I questioned her. "The girls and I moved from Verona, in Italy." She replied. Ah, so that's why she has such a thick accent. "How many tattoos do you have?" I asked her. "I think eight." She replied standing up. "I have a guardian angel on my ankle for my parents. A bouquet on my other ankle, to remind me to grow. The girls and I got matching tattoos on our wrists. I have a gun covered in flowers on my arm. I got it for fun because I love them. A machine gun on my side, another one for fun. One that says "no rest for the wicked" on my rib cage. My gangs sign on my back." She replied showing me all of them. But when she showed me the last one on her back she lifted her hair accidentally uncovering another tattoo she failed to mention. "What's that one?" I asked touching the back of her neck where her last tattoo resides. It's a single-line drawing of an angel. "Nothing. Uh, I think I'm going to go to bed now." She replied backing away from my touch. "I'm sorry. Uh, you don't have to answer that." I replied nervously scratching the back of my neck. "Out. Now." She replied through gritted teeth

I rushed out of the room not wanting to anger her more. I headed downstairs to talk to Gianetta about what just happened in Raffaella's room. "Hey Gia, what's the meaning behind the tattoo on Raf's neck?" I asked as I entered the game room where she was sitting. Her face visibly paled when I asked her. "Um um That's something I can't answer." She replied looking away from me. "What does that mean?" I asked starting to get confused. She sighed looking back at me. "Something happened when Raffaella was younger. I can't tell you what, but that tattoo represents it." She replied. What the hell does that mean? I thought to myself. Then the look on Gianetta's face turned serious. "Oh god, please tell me you didn't ask her about it." She shot up out of her chair. "Yeah I mean, I was curious. Why?" I asked her, ok now I'm really confused. Before she even answered the question, screams erupted from Raf's room. "That's why." She said as she ran up the stairs to Raffaella's room.
