Chapter one-the beginning

Diamond POV

I woke up to the smell of eggs , bacon and toast so I immediately knew my mom was downstairs making breakfast and my tummy started growling so I threw my pink plush pillows and sheet off my body and got up to brush my teeth before heading downstairs to meet my mom and Nya in the kitchen. "Hey Nya! " I said to my lil sister who was just all in her phone. " hey DJ " she said still not even looking up from her phone. Good morning ma" I said while kissing her on the cheek. " Goodmorning diamond " she answered while kissing me on the forehead. I love my mama so much , we have a great mother and daughter bond and I know I could always talk to my mom about anything. She would do anything just to make sure me and Nya are comfortable. I know some of you are probably wondering where my dad is. Well my dad left my mom and I when when my mom gave birth to Nya , he told her he couldn't take care of us anymore because it was just too much to take care of us and pay all the bills. So the next day when we woke up he wasn't in the house and all his stuff was gone, so yeah my dad was a dead beat dad. He just left my mom to take care of both of us as if he never took part in creating us.

After I sat at the table and finished eating breakfast, I went up to Nya room and told her to get dress because we were gonna spend the day together since I was leaving to go to college tomorrow. She did as I told her and then I walked to my bedroom and took a 30 mins hot steaming shower.
After coming out the shower I applied lotion to my body and then slipping on my black laced panty and bra set. Then I sat infront of my mirror and applied a lil foundation , eyeliner and mascara since it was hot in New York. I seriously don't know how these girls can wear so much makeup on their face when it feels like hell in NY. After doing my makeup I quickly slipped on my white denim jeans and my black and white striped crop top. I took my hair down from the messy bun it was in and started to flat iron it and curl the ends. As I was about to apply some perfume I heard Nya shouting my name . " Diamond hurry up gah damn" she said. " I'm coming " I shouted while grabbing my Tory burch handbag and walking downstairs to see Nya in a coral maxi dress that hugged her body and showed off her curves with some black sandals and her hair in a neat high bun. Don't get me wrong but my sister was gorgeous as hell and every boy at her school would do anything just to talk to her and get her attention.
"Mama we leaving " I shouted while Nya and I stepped out the front door. " okay be safe " my mama said.
Nya and I hopped into my BMW and I immediately turned on the radio, my song flawless by Beyoncé was playing so me and Nya decided to sing along to it while pulling out the drive way.
" So what you think we should do first" I asked Nya. " we should get a mani and pedi first" she said getting all excited. " okay that sounds like a plan" I told her.

We pulled up to my friend Tierra nail salon , I felt like I haven't seen her in months. I turned off my car and Nya and I both got out grabbing our bags and walked towards the nail salon.
" Hey y'all " I said as I stepped in. " Is that Diamond? Tierra asked looking up from her work station and walking over to me. "Yes it's me T " I said and we both started laughing.
" Well shit bitch you done went Houdini on me , the fuck you wanted me to say" she said . I laughed at her ghetto ass , " girl you know I had to focus on school so a bitch could graduate and shit" I told her. " I hear you girl , you just look so different! , you glowing and shit , are you pregnant? She said loudly so now everybody in the nail salon was looking at me.
"T cut the bullshit you know gah damn well I ain't pregnant " I said so that everyone could stop burning a hole in my face. " girl you know I'm just messing witcha " she said . " So what y'all getting today" she asked me and Nya .

"We getting a mani pedi" I told her. She got one of her nail stylist to get started with Nya while she walked me to her station to start on my nails.

" When you going to college " Tierra asked me.
" I leave tomorrow cuz I gotta get settled in and get my things together " I told her. " damn girl you already know my ass gon miss you like crazy" she said and I smiled. " awww ima miss you too T" . " bitch you better " she demanded and we both started laughing. " Let me know if you find any fine sexy ass niggas down in Atlanta " she said. " T I thought you was gay " I asked her. " Girl I am, I'm talking bout for you" she said while polishing my nails. " T you know I ain't going down there to mess with no niggas cuz you know they ain't shit and then some of them cant control they side hoes and shit , cuz you already know I'll beat a bitch in a heartbeat for talking to me crazy " I said to her. " Girl don't worry about them and shit I know you will"T said laughing.

After Tierra was done with my nails , I switched places with Nya so I could get my toes done while T does her nails. I got white nail polish just because I loved how it looked on my toes.
After Nya and I finished our Mani pedi we told Tierra and the girls bye and walked to the car.
"Wait Diamond, lemme run in the store to get a snack" Nya said. I swear she just a fat child.
"Okay hurry up" I told her while I stood by the car waiting on her.

While standing at the car this guy who look like he stood at 6'2 , had a dark skin complexion and had a true religion jeans and a white polo t-shirt and some all white air forces walked up to me and smiling showing off his pearly white teeth. " Hey beautiful " he said to me. " wassup" I said dryly. I was never the type to fall for these niggas , cuz all they wanna do is play around with your head and tell you all that nice shit and then as soon as you fall for them they just drop you like you wasn't shit , and I ain't easy. " damn ma what I do to you" he said.
"Nothing I just don't wanna be bothered right now" I told him. " aight well can I at least get your name ma"? . I rolled my eyes ," it's Diamond " I said while watching Nya walked out the store and towards the car. " well nice to me you Diamond , I'm Dwayne but you can call me daddy " he said while licking his full pink lips. I laughed at him , like who does this nigga think he is. " Boy I would rather die before calling you "daddy" I said giving him a stank look. " a lot of attitude I see, u know I like my girls with a lil of that " he said. " Whatever, you couldn't handle me even if I came with instructions" I said while turning my back to him and walking to get in the car with Nya.
"Damn you got a fat ass " he said walking up to the window of my car . I rolled my eyes at this thirsty ass fool. " don't you got anything else better to do" I asked him. " Yeah but I'm tryna do you" he said smirking. " boy get the hell on" I said while starting the car. " Aight beautiful , I guess I'll see you around but it was nice meeting you" he said smiling showing off his pearly white teeth again. " yeah whatever " I said and pulled off.

"Who was that " Nya asked me , " just some thirst ass nigga " I told her . She laughed " I won't lie but he fine as hell tho" she said . " yeah but you know ion trust these niggas" I said. "Typical Diamond " she said and we both laughed. " Tbh Dwayne was fine as hell but I don't ever let my guard down for these niggas cuz like I said before" they ain't SHIT!" and I ain't bout to fall in love with no nigga just to get my heart broken .

Nya and I went to get our hair done . I got my hair flat ironed bone straight and Nya got her hair wand curled. After we did our hair we went to the mall to do a few shopping. We were so tired , so we decided to call it a day and head home.

We got home and I opened the front door to see my mom knocked out on the couch . Nya came in and locked the door and went up to her room to put down her bags. I went up to my room to put my bags down and stripped out my clothes. I pinned my hair up before I stepped into the shower and started to take a nice hot shower.

I stepped out the shower and grabbed my towel And started to wrap it around my body but before I could finish there was a knock at my door. I walked to the door and opened to see Nya standing there with her pajamas on.

"Wassup Ny " I asked her ask letting her in my room. " I just wanted to say I enjoyed spending the day with you" she said smiling. " aww me too lil sis " I said . " Ima miss you so much when you go off to college " she said as her smile turned into a frown. " I sat beside her on my bed and hugged her , " ima miss you too but you know I'm gonna only be a phone call away if u need to talk to me about anything ima always be here fo you okay" I assured her. She nodded and hugged me . " I love you DJ" , " I love you too Nya , I said as we both sat there just hugging each other . Then we finally let go of each other . " well ima let you get some sleep, night Diamond "Nya said. " night babygirl " . I lotioned my skin and put on my night clothes and got ready for bed since I already packed my stuff for college two days ago.

I layed in my bed in the dark thinking how much I'm gonna miss my mom and Nya , like they are the only one that always had my back , and I love them so much and it kinda hurts to Leave the ones you love so dearly especially when they are your blood , the ones you call your "FAMILY ". I was just so deep in my thoughts I didn't notice tears were coming from my eyes until I felt my pillow getting wet. I closed my eyes and continue thinking about what the future holds for me until I fell in a deep sleep.
