Mya POV
I've been here for two days since they had me on suicidal watch, but today I get out. Langston had Javion to pick me up from the hospital, but right now I'm angry since he's twenty minutes late .
Speaking of the devil.
"Baby I'm so sorry. I overslept" he said rushing to get my bags
"It's fine" i simply said
He helped me out of the bed and kissed my lips.
"You ready my queen?" He asked
"Yes" i said lowly

We arrived at my house and cars was everywhere, I wasn't expecting any company I just wanted to go to sleep.
When I walked in everyone screamed happy birthday.
"It's not my birthday" i said confused
"Mya it's June 21st" Langston said
Then I realized it really was my birthday.
I screamed and hugged Langston
"I'm 16!!!" I said while jumping up and down
"Girl we need to get you ready for tonight!" Niecy and Marie said
"What's happening?" I asked
"Langston,Austin,Tunchie and Javion planned a Sweet 16 for you" Niecy said
My mouth dropped I placed my hands over my mouth and screamed.
They start laughing at me.
"Happy birthday babe" Javion said kissing my lips
"Thank you" i smiled
I looked around to see some of Langston friends and Cornell friends here.
"Happy birthday sis" Cornell said giving me a bag
I opened the bag and it was some clothes.
"Thank you big bro" i said hugging him
"Langston... Where's mom?" I asked
Everyone got silent and walked into the backyard except for Langston and Cornell.
Langston and Cornell handed me a letter and walked away.
I tore open the envelope and it was a piece of paper that read...
Dear Mya,
Me and Nelly have moved away to start our new lives off together with our new child... Don't try to contact us or look for us and Nelly because you will not find us . I think this is a new chapter for me and Nelly since we already got married and now having a new child on the way.

I looked up and everyone was looking through the window waiting for my reaction. I smiled and waved .

Javion POV
She smiled and waved at us.
"Bro you should go check on her." Cornell said to Langston
"Na I got her fam" i said as we watched her walked in the back into her room.
I opened the door and walked inside the house. I walked down the hallway and into her room and she was sitting on her bed with no emotion.
"Hey" i said
"Hey baby" she said kissing my lips
"Are you okay?" I asked
"Better than ever" she smiled
I could see that she's hurting deep down inside.
"Are you sure?" I asked
She nodded her head
"How do you feel about your mother just up and leaving?" I asked
She faced towards the wall and showed no emotion.
"You know once you been hurt so many times you get used to it. Even though I want to cry--" her voice start cracking
"I want to cry so fucking bad but I can't. " she said
"What do you mean you can't?" I asked while rubbing her back
"I can't because I feel weak when I cry. I can't cry this time I have to stay strong" she said as tears fell from her eyes
"Fuck!" She screamed
"Baby it's okay to cry." I said
She begin crying hysterically.
I believe that her mother leaving isn't the only reason why she's crying. I think it's built up anger and she's finally letting out all of her tears.
"She left me and my fucking brother! I hate her so much Javion. I just wanna kill her! Why would she do this to us! To me!" She yelled
"Mya look at me" i said seriously
She looked at me with tears in her eyes .
"Today is your fucking birthday, you shouldn't be over here stressing. Right now you should be shopping with your homegirls and doing girly shit. If she left she left! But one day she will see that you're doing much better without her! Now crying time is over! Wipe your pretty face. You change clothes and get ready to go to the mall. " i said
She hugged my waist and kissed my lips
"I love you. Thank you for being there for me every step of the way" she said
"I thank you too baby." I said
"Now go take a shower" i said slapping her ass
She giggled and walked into her bathroom.
I left her room to give her some privacy.
When I walked into the living room and everyone was talking and eating except for Langston. It looks like he was deep in thought.
I sat next to him and pat his back.
"You good famo?" I asked
"Hell nawl man. I can't believe she would do some shit like this ever!" He said looking into my eyes and his eyes was glossy.
"Man don't cry. Like I told Mya If she left she left! But one day she will see that you're doing much better without her. Sometimes you gotta fake it to make it through. Meaning sometimes you may be upset, sad, mad or whatever but keep a smile or your game look to make it through fam. " i said
"Thanks man" he said giving me a brotherly hug
