Mya POV
"Wanna come chill with me and my friends later on?" Austin asked
The boy I was talking to in the hallway, hus name is Austin Allen. He's fifteen just like me .
"Sure but I have to ask my brother and mom" i said
"If they say yes just text me so I can pick you up" he said
"Okay bye and thanks for the advice" i said while hugging him

At Home
"Mom!" I yelled
"She's gone to the store" i heard Nelly say
I walked into our living room and he was watching ESPN and eating chips
"Hey" i said awkwardly
"Hey wassup?" He said
"Nothing much." I said
I sat next to him and got a few of his chips.
"Can I go over a friend of mine house? You know since it's a Friday." I said
"Boy or girl?" He asked
"Boy, but-"
"Nope"
"Nelly please." I begged
"No Mya because you're like a daughter to me and if I find out he did some shit to you, imma kill him" he said
"Nelly pleaseee. He's my friend, I've never had any friends. I just want to be like a normal person and have friends I can chill with." I said
"But you're not a normal person, you're a special gift from God and he gave you-"
"Stop! Okay? Me talking to the dead doesn't make me any different" i said
He sighed
"Mya I didn't mean it like that." He said
"Whatever, never mind. I don't want to go anymore" i said rising up from the couch. I ran upstairs and slammed my door
"Mya" Nelly said from on the other side of the door.
"Mya you can go. I'll tell your mother where you're at. Go have fun but not too much fun" he said
My frown turned into a smile. I opened the door and hugged him.
"Thanks dad" i said
He pulled away and looked at me in complete shock.
"You called me dad" he said
"I know" i shrugged
He smiled and pulled me into a hug.
"Okay you're suffocating me" i said
"Oh I'm sorry" he chuckled

"Hey" i said getting inside of Austin's car
"Wassup. "
He looked me up and down.
"Good you ain't like other females, that always having tight clothing on" he said driving away
"Yeah, I don't like showing off my skin. If I ain't at the mall or something I usually have on some sweats with a muscle shirt and nike slides. Like what I have on now " i said
He nodded his head.
We arrived at a rich neighborhood.
"Wow" i said
