"This year's best student award goes to ... two bright minds actually. In fact this is the first time we have a tie. Congratulations to Iqball Aidan and Ballqis Viana!" a voice boomed into the mic and onto the hall's 8-in-1 speaker system.

The whole school clapped. Confetti filled the air.

Words of congratulations were cheered away.

They posed for photos before carefully making their way down from the stage.

The metre-tall trophy they had held together on stage now rests calmly in his hand.

"Here, you keep it," he offered.

She almost smiled but instead, shook her hands and head.

"You definitely surprised us, Ballqis," the headmistress said with a smile.

"Yeah, I thought you'd ruin the schools good track record," the Physics teacher quipped.

She blushed, tremendously embarrassed and almost ashamed. More teachers came to see them as they walked further into the backstage area, towards the hall's side exit.

"Iqball, excellent as always, and I know you'd be able to pull it off, Balqis," the Biology teacher threw in.

He smiled, and finally, so did she.
