#5: Surrender The Night

(Y/N's POV)

It was 11:30, time for me to lock up at the bar I worked at, "Killjoys Pub". It was a small establishment and only a 15 minute walk from Ray's and my apartment. Ray hated when I had to walk home late at night, he always told me to be careful or offered to drive me.

Tonight it was dark, with only the pale light from the moon. I texted Ray that I was on my way home and started walking, enjoying the peaceful night. Although it seemed to peaceful. There wasn't your usual group of drunk girls or guys trying to hit on them. There wasn't anyone, no noise, no shadows except my own, nothing.

I become uneasy and begin to walk faster. My heart is beating out of my chest, I shouldn't be feeling this way. Why am I so nervous? I grab my cell phone ready to call Ray and ask him to come get me.

As soon as I press the call button someone comes up from behind me and roughly places a hand over my mouth. I struggle to get free but I can't. Whoever this is is to strong. I try and scream for help but nothing escapes, there is no one here.

Suddenly the person lets me go and spins me around so I am facing them. I am terrified but once I look up and see Rays floppy hair and smiling face, I pull him into a tight hug.

"You scared me to death Ray!" I half scream at him.
He giggles slightly, "Im sorry Y/N, but maybe now you'll let me give you rides home after work? Please?"
I sigh and rest my head on his chest, "Yes, fine. Just promise me you won't scare me like that again.".
"I won't darling", he says then kisses me softly.

We walk back home together in silence, enjoying the pale light of the moon.
