School was, and still is, exhausting (Relatable for all ages, I'm sure).
Even if it was one of the 'better days' of lessons, and a Friday at that, all they wanted to do was go upstairs and sleep the rest of the day away. This wasn't unusual for them; Every night, they try to get real sleep, or at least more than the few hours they manage to get (Just like the few hours you get after reading fics like this all night), but you can bet that there would always be something stopping them. Some nights it would be car alarms, others would be emergency services sirens, others groups of teens, older than themself, having fun together...
Fun.
Together.
Two words, when combined, that they could never experience with anyone their age, at least not with anyone they knew.
Or, could ever know, it seemed.
Frisk had always felt separated from everyone (Like every. Protagonist. Ever). Maybe it was how they always got the best test scores. Perhaps it was how their first reaction to any new person or thing was kindness before brute curiosity.
It could have been how nobody else seemed to have a soul like their own:A red soul, the soul of...
Of...?Well nobody knew. None of the doctors consulted, or books read, told of anyone with such a soul trait.
The six currently identified soul traits are: Orange for Bravery, Yellow for Justice, Green for Kindness, Cyan for Patience, Blue for Integrity, and Purple for Perseverance. These are also the six main attributes for, well, something that doss not matter anymore, if it ever mattered at all.
In this world, greed rules over those in power, whether for money, for fame, or for the power they think they don't already have.
Cover-ups, conspiracies, propaganda- Wait, did I not just say that none of this mattered?Did I not start this fanfiction with Frisk wanting to sleep, then move onto why they needed it so badly, and then proceed to explain the politics of her world?
Well, I guess I did do that, and I am now regretting not explaining how the events of this story actually happened. And now I'm saying this.
...
This could go on forever.
...
I suppose the next chapter is where this story actually starts...
I should learn to plan ahead, instead of just jumping in like I did with this one.See you when this gets updated, I guess.
