Reconnected

Chapter 7: Party pt. 2

The group had stopped playing card games but they had formed a circle around the coffee table laughing and talking amongst theirselves. Midoriya and Todoroki squeezed into the circle, sitting down where ever there was room.

"Are you okay dude?" Sero asked.

"Yep I'm good, just needed a breather." Midoriya smiled back at him.

"But really Midoriya, we're all really happy to see you again. Ribbit." Tsu said bringing a finger up to her chin.

"I'm really happy to see you guys too." Midoriya smiled big. His smile was like the sun shining bright, everyone swooned at the sight. They had all missed him so much.

They continued talking and laughing, and just enjoying each other's company like good old times. No one were on their phones and they were just lost in each other's drunk conversations, no one knew what time it was, and also no one cared.

Midoriya continued to drink along with the others. They had noticed that he was drinking much more than they were but was still about as drunk as them. They were wondering how high his alcohol tolerance was that he could pound drinks like he was. But that thought passed by fast because, they too, were drunk.

The music and laughter in the living room was loud enough to drown out sounds that weren't important. Like the sounds of Bakugou entering the house and swearing in the kitchen as he looked at the disaster of scattered drink cups and junk foods on the counters. He poured himself a stiff drink and shoved some food in his mouth as he knocked the drink back.

He turned to look into the living room and he saw someone he didn't recognize with his back towards the doorway. He saw a male with black hair dressed in, what look like, clothing you'd wear to a rock concert. Did he not understand the theme? He thought that one of these idiots invited Shindo, shit was going to hit the fan if it was him.

He had walked into the room silently and slammed a hand onto the unknown male's shoulder, startling those in the room, "WHO THE FUCK INVI-" he voice boomed over the music playing. Midoriya jumped and whipped his head around, his heart was pounding in his chest, Bakugou had scared the crap out of him. As he turned around his emerald eyes met Bakugou's crimson red eyes. Stopping him in his tracks.

Midoriya saw the look in Bakugou's eyes and his body immediately tensed up, he unknowingly formed fists with his hands. He felt Bakugou's quirk activate slightly on his shoulder, it felt like tiny sparks hitting his skin, but it wasn't enough to hurt him.

Bakugou's jaw dropped as he recognized those eyes and the freckles that fell below them. He felt as Midoriya's body tensed up and saw the scared look on his face from slamming his hand onto his shoulder. He had started to say something but nothing came out. He quickly withdrew his hand and shoved them both in his pockets as he turned around and walked away.

They all heard the front door open and slam shut. An explosion from outside were heard then soft footsteps on the roof. Midoriya was still turned around speechless, he had completely forgotten that he was showing up tonight.

Midoriya turned around and all eyes were on him, " I um," he cleared his throat, " I'm going to go talk to him." His chest and throat felt tight as he stumbled to get up off the couch. As he walked through the kitchen he set his cup on the counter and made it to the front entry. He sat on the step for a minute with his face resting on the palms of his hands and was taking some deep breaths to try to calm himself before going out there.

He was fiddling with the laces of his boots trying to get them untied. Eventually he got them on his feet and didn't bother to tie them back up. He stood back up and had to grab ahold of the door as his head spun. This is a bad idea, I shouldn't be going to talk to him, I saw the look in his eyes, he was pissed.
