A/N: So looking back Paige faced a whole lot less consequences for personal gain whether that was because of the writers growing bored or forgetting I don't know but I'm going to give a reason this chapter.

She wasn't sure how it started but she did know he had everything to do with it. He was apparently working as an attorney for victims of violent crimes which meant more often then not their paths would cross as he came to either see the victims, officers, or gather medical files for the case at the hospital. He would seek her out and she didn't stop him. Persephone was curious. She knew full well the idea of curiosity killing the cat but she equally knew satisfaction brought it back . She had seen firsthand the prejudice the wizarding world had dealt out having been on the receiving hand of it herself so she was unsure what to believe when it came to demons. She did know one thing though and it was that she would be the one making the decision as to whether or not he was good or evil or like most somewhere in the grey spectrum.

There was just something about the redheaded witch that had him captivated and he had tried to be rid of it, oh had he tried. He just couldn't help himself and getting to know her only made it that much worse. She was a mystery he couldn't figure out, a puzzle that seemed to always be missing a piece. She was beautiful in a way that appealed to his 19th century self. She wasn't trying to be rail thin like most women these days and actually had a healthy amount of meat on her bones. She was perfectly fine with how her body looked despite not putting it on display in revealing or overly tight clothing. She didn't try to change her hair by dying it and she wasn't covered in the artificial scent of today's body products instead smelling like homemade soap made with sandalwood and rose, giving her a delicately sweet but still spicy scent. She was like a little piece of home, back before his mother had killed his father, brought forward into the modern world. He just couldn't stop himself from meeting her time and again nor did he want to and so they met and talked and laughed and shared each others' worlds with the other for months never once labelling what it was they were doing or giving a name to the overwhelming emotion growing between them.

January - Early August 1998, Age 20

"Tell me just who are you, Cole Turner? It's like one minute I know you, then I don't."

"To be honest I'm not really sure I know who I am anymore myself. I just know whatever this is that we started . . . I don't want it to end." His hand caresses her cheek gently.

"Are you sure?"

"Absolutely. Once I have you though I don't think I'll be able to let go. There'll be no escape, no outrunning me. I won't let you go, I'm not completely sure I can even now." He looks deep into those eyes that had captured him so entirely, his voice sending shivers down her spine. "Are you sure this is what you want? That I'm what you want?"

"I don't care that you're not completely human Cole so stop trying to see if I'll run. It makes no difference to me what you are, all I care about is who you are. So long as you're the man I've gotten to know, that is all that matters. Cole Turner you turned my world right-side up when I didn't even know it was upside down. You have just as much capacity for good as you do evil. You choose who you are, not your species. Being half demon doesn't make you a monster, taking pleasure in the pain of innocents would make you one. You let me see into your mind so I would know what I was getting into and I have seen the atrocities, I have seen the death you've brought about, I have seen you take lives always ensuring it is quick and painless for those who are innocent, and I have seen you make enemies for giving innocents mercy when their pain was extended for their enjoyment. I have seen your evil just as much as I have seen the good you kept buried deep inside you. I don't need an escape or for you to give me a way out. I want this, I want you."
