Persephone spent the next hour figuring out what the sister's knew about magical and other beings which turned out to be close to nothing. The three sisters didn't even have the most basic protections that most wiccans did, let alone any sort of protection ward in place which was absolutely terrifying in her opinion. They had basically left themselves vulnerable to any demon every night for almost a year if what they said was true and it made her absolutely sick. Magic was the basis of all life, while it wasn't accessible to everyone, it was what made up a part of every soul and the three of them had been ignoring so many important things. Even Cole had winced when the three sisters had questioned his fiancé when she asked if they'd done a cleansing or at least prepped for one considering they were approaching the anniversary of their first year which meant without a cleansing all their work could be undone.
Persephone spent the rest of the night teaching them the basics, starting with herbs. She taught them that when certain herbs like rosemary are placed in a circular pattern, such as a wreath on their front door, they could form a minor protection ward that would prevent minor evils (such as human burglars/stalkers) from entering though without belief the magic would not take. She taught them how sprinkling a mixture of ground chamomile, lavender, and patchouli outside the house while reciting a spell would create a barrier ward that could stop and repel a single attack. She encouraged them to start growing pennyroyal in every far corner of the house as it would stop any magic being used to spy on them with malicious intent (meaning it generally wouldn't stop pesky Whitelighters/Elders or those neutral to them). She even wrote down instructions on how to make a potion from basil, lavender, rosemary, and yarrow along with a few other ingredients that when mixed into the water used to mop the floors (once a week) and clean the windows (once a month) would not only purify the house of negative energies but block them from entering while also preventing possessions from taking hold of anyone within the house and knocking anyone who was possessed out the moment they were fully inside the barrier it erected.
Paige explained about various magical creatures/beings that existed. She even went on further to tell Piper about the Marks family. Paige told her about how while Avery Marks was a witch his wife, Alicia Neethey, was a Whitelighter and how the two of them had made things work. The truth was that Piper and Leo would have to talk about what each of them was willing to give to make their relationship work. They could do things as the Marks family had where Piper would eventually have to accept the fact that she would grow old while Leo remained young, and she would either have to pass him off as a relative or her much older lover. The other option was that Leo could somewhere down the line clip his wings, becoming human for her, but that would also leave him with no powers or identity and that meant having to find someone to forge one for him that was good enough to pass most background inspections without question which generally meant spending some big bucks or at least it would have if not for the fact that the rules of personal gain didn't apply to Persephone who Paige was sure could quite literally bend the universe to her will if she wanted.
Meanwhile Phoebe had split her attention between somewhat listening to Persephone and asking Cole questions he found to be both personal and none of her business and as such completely infuriating. Phoebe asked about his mixed status, which one of his parents was human and which was demon, what kind of demon he was, if and how he could be vanquished, how he changed his appearance, his age, where he was born, if he had siblings, if he knew a lot of other half-humans, what he did, and basically anything else she could think of off the top of her head while throwing subtle, yet not so subtle to him, flirts in between. After realizing he wasn't going to answer most of her questions she pouted before asking about how he'd met Persephone, finally getting a full sentence out of him as it had to so with her childhood friend, which was actually her little sister and that was still turning her head. It was when Phoebe asked about how he proposed to Persephone and he smiled while looking over at her that Phoebe realized she could literally put on a strip show in front of him and he wouldn't do anything more than glance at her and even then, only in mild disinterest.
