Oscar: You live around here?
Rina: Um, yeah.
Oscar: Funny.
Rina: How?
Oscar: I’ve never seen you around here.
Rina: I go out a lot.
Oscar: Really? So you have a life, apparently.
Rina: Of course I do.
Oscar: Who knew?
Rina: Hello?! I am right here!
Oscar: (sarcastic) Sorry.
Rina: (rolls her eyes) whatever.
Oscar: Well here’s 48th street. Where’s your place?
Rina: Why would I tell you? Knowing you, you would stalk me 24/7 if you ever found out.
Oscar: Just trying to be polite.
Rina: Well no thank you, sir, but I am perfectly fine on my own. (Rina walks into an alley, Oscar continues walking then follows.)
(Scene 3: Alice and Jack’s house)
Alice: Not fair, Jack! In case you haven’t noticed I am carrying a book bag as big as Jupiter, a lunchbox, my camera, and a saxophone.
Jack: Quit whining! I have a book bag as big as, um, Pluto and this. (Holds up flute case)
Alice: Say what you think, bro, but I know it is not fair.
Jack: Whatever. (Tries turning doorknob) It’s locked.
Alice: Didn’t you have a key?
Jack: Yeah but I lost it at school.
Alice: There is always a spare in the flower pot. (Searches, ends up with nothing.) Where did it go? Please don’t tell me you lost the spare at school.
Jack: Sorry.
Alice: I guess we will just go to Jen’s office.
Jack: It’s Mom to you!
Alice: It is Mom to you, actually. She is not my mother, never will be my mother. She’s Jen to me. (Starts walking.) Let’s go.
