(Scene 1: School)
(Cue bell ringing)
Ms. Stin: Bye, guys! Happy Wednesday! (All but four students leave) I assume you guys are here for theatre.
Rina: Yes. (Simultaneously with below)
Alice, Oscar, Jack: No, nuh uh, etc.
Oscar: Thanks, Rina.
Rina: Actually I prefer Sabrina.
Oscar: I know. That's why I called you Rina.
Rina: (Mutters) Rude
Alice: Well you didn't have to tell her that we are in theatre.
Rina: It was your idea.
Jack: (from behind book.) She was asked a question and she answered truthfully.
Rina: See? Jake agrees with me.
Jack: Jack...
Rina: Jack. That's what I meant.
Ms. Stin: (whispers to Oscar)
(Oscar gets up and starts heading out)
Alice: Where are you going?
Oscar: I'm leaving.
Rina: But the meeting hasn't even started yet.
Oscar: It was pushed back until tomorrow.
Rina: Somebody forgot to say it on the morning announcements, huh? (Looks at Alice)
Alice: If I didn't say an announcement, it was not on my table. If it wasn't on my table, somebody forgot to get it and put it on there. I am not responsible for what announcements are said.
Jack: Well I guess I should go, too.
Rina, Alice: I'll come, too. (Look at each other with hatred)
Oscar: So how do you guys get home? Bike, bus, walk, folks?
Jack: Folks. You?
Oscar: Bus. Alice?
Alice: My parents.
Rina: I usually walk.
Alice: Oh so you're one of those girls who only care about staying healthy.
Rina: I never said that. When did I say that?
Alice: You didn't have to. I did.
Jack: Well where do you guys live? I'm on 40th.
Alice: Same.
Rina: Um, 48th.
Oscar: You don't seem so sure about that.
Rina: No I-I'm sure.
Oscar: Well I'm on 49th.
Jack: (whispers to Alice) Sabrina and Oscar alone? Should we let them?
Alice: It will be...interesting.
Jack: So we split up?
Alice: I guess.
Oscar: Fine Rina-
Rina: Sabrina.
Oscar: Potato (po-tay-toe) potato (po-tah-toe). We go our way you go yours.
Rina: Fine.
Alice: Fine!
Oscar: Fine!
Jack: How am I with these people?
Oscar: Let's split.
(The pairs start going their separate ways.)
Jack: Race home?
Allice: Let's wait.
Jack: Why?
Alice: I thought we didn't want anyone knowing we are, you know...
Jack: Step-
Alice: (covers his mouth) Hush up! They're right there.
Jack: Look. They turned. Race?
Alice: Fine. But it isn't fair that- (he takes off running)
