I realized that there was nothing that I could do about the judge's decision but I could thank the gallery of the courtroom for fighting for me.

When the judge told me that I could say a few words before I was carted away, I got up and said, "Before I took the job at Kings and Sons, my mother tried her absolute hardest to get me to pick another one. She is the strongest woman I know and she loves her children more than anything in the world so she wanted to do everything in her power to keep them safe. I didn't listen. Why? I thought that I was going to work in a place that advocates for justice for all. For a while I did but when I stood up for someone who needed it, they threw me under the bus. Despite the fact that I will be spending my night and many more in a jail cell, I don't feel like I lost this case. Despite the corruptness that we witnessed here in this hall-

At that point, the judge loudly cleared his throat and gestured for the police to take me away.

Seeing that I wasn't going to have enough time to say all that I wanted to say so I skipped to the end.

"I knew from the beginning of this trial that the good guys would win and they did. This story has been shared millions of times on social media and now the whole world knows about this issue. We have started a conversation about it and for me at this point that is enough. At least now I can sleep soundly knowing that there are people who know that others are being hurt by the system that we put out trust in to uphold justice. They can change it now. Change is coming!"

While I was being dragged away I yelled, "Thank you so much for fighting for me and for loving me. I will see you soon!"

The end.
