When hashirama and madara die, they appear Infront of the sage of six paths and he explains everything to them, those things are about his mother and the reincarnation cycle. Also he explains to madara that the eye of the moon plan was just a way for black zetzu to revive mother kagua, madara is infuriated that black zetzu was manipulating him.
