"Can we talk about what happened earlier?" Laval asked.
"Sure," Grandma replied. "What do you want to know?"
"What was that thing that attacked us?"
"That was one of Daniel's minions."
"Yeah, but what is it?"
"Uhhh" Grandma sighed, "That was a Darlish... a pig and goblin mix." Grandma paused, looking out on the road in front of us.
"We are almost to my house," Grandma said, abruptly changing the subject.
There was no sound for the rest of the time to her house, then they finally reached her light blue house, Laval has never been to Grandma's D house it was miraculous there were hummingbirds everywhere there were wind chimes that made the most beautiful sounding the world. Laval got out of the car and grabbed his bags. He walked up to the door and pried it open. Inside it was not as good as it looked on the outside. The furniture was ripped, lamps were broken, glass was shattered, grandma brought out her bow and knocked an arrow.
"Stay behind me," grandma said with concern, They walked into the living room in the kitchen and in the bedrooms "we are good" "come we need to talk"
Laval and grandma walked to the living room and sat on wooden stools.
"What did you want to talk about?"
"The coin," grandma said, "I got it from your father before he went to war and told me to give this to you, when it is flipped it turns into a sword, heads or bow, tails, I call it fate because if you want to use a bow instead of a sword and you try to change it it will be the same every time till fate decides when to change it." Laval flipped the coin and it turned into a gold bow with black designs then Arrows Appeared on his back
"There is an endless supply of arrows and different kinds of Arrows boom, arrows stun, gas, all kinds of arrows." "There are targets in the back you can practice go on you will need to practice shooting"
Laval walked outside and saw an archery set. He put the targets up and knocked his first arrow, closed his eyes, and shot, then he opened it with excitement and saw that the Arrow Was on the ground next to his foot "This is hopeless."
Grandma walked behind Laval, "put your back into it and didn't close your eyes." Grandma D knocked an arrow, pulled the string back, and shot, the arrow shot faster than a missal, and it went straight in the middle and through the fence.
"What the holy molly" Laval said in surprise "how did you... What?"
Grandma D laughed "And that is after 4 years of practice."
Laval flipped his bow "I am going to unpack."
Laval went inside and up the stairs to his bedroom carrying his bags. He put them down on the floor and plopped on the bed laval was so excited he just wanted to fall asleep so he did. This time laval dream wasn't bad it was good he dreamed that he was with his mom and there was no Darlish or monsters everything was fine. Laval woke up from the screams of his grandma, laval quickly grabbed his coin and flipped it and caught a bow, and grabbed an arrow he walked down the stairs and found 2 small goblins the first one had a wart on his nose and had green slime coming from his nose, and the second one had a very fat noise and a darlish in his grandmas' house the Darlish was holding his grandma D Laval screamed to get the goblins and the Darlishes attention
"Let go of my grandma!"
The first goblins looked at laval and screamed back in a raspy deep voice "son take the old woman we will take the half Fortunate."
