One Friday night, Maria Baez woke up to her phone ringing. Who the hell is calling me at 3 am. She thought to herself. She looked at the caller I.D. on her phone and it read "Danny Reagan". She groaned and answered the call. "It's 3 o'clock in the morning, Reagan! What the fuck could you possibly need?" Was her greeting. "Look, Beaz. I'm sorry, but I kinda got myself into a sticky situation. Could you just come to the Plaza and help me out? I'm in room 208. I'll call down to the lobby and room service will let you in." He said in a panick. "Danny, are you okay? What's wrong?" She was no longer mad, but she began to worry. "I'm fine. I need you to come to the hotel. Please." She had never really heard Danny Reagan panick, so she knew this was serious. "Okay. I'll be there in about ten or fifteen minutes. Bye, Danny." "Okay. Thank you, Baez. Bye." He said and then hung up. Maria didn't even bother getting dressed. She threw on her coat and ran out the door. She got in her car and drove to the Plaza Hotel.
When she arrived, she approached the front desk. "Hi. I'm Maria Baez. Danny Reagan, in room 208, said he would call you guys so you could let me in his room." She told the lady at the front desk. "Ah, yes. Right this way, Ms. Baez." The bellhop said. They walked to the elevator and got in. He pressed the "2" button and the elevator began to move. They got off the elevator and walked down the hall to Danny's room. "Here we are. Room 208." The bellhop said as he opened the door. "Thank you." She replied with a nod.
Maria walked into the huge suite. "Baez, is that you?" He said timidly. "I got to tell you Reagan, this place is ni-" She stopped when she turned the corner. There she saw Danny, laying in a bed. He was naked and handcuffed to the headboard. She shielded her eyes. "What the hell happened, Reagan?" She said chuckling audibly. "My date handcuffed me to the bed, took the covers and left. Could you just get the key? They're in the front pocket of my shirt, which should be somewhere on the floor." He said embarrassed. She continued laughing at the predicament Danny had gotten himself into. She picked up his shirt and got the keys out of his pocket. "Here you go, dumbass." She said tossing them at him. "Baez, I can't fucking catch them!" He said irritated. "Oh, sorry." She said finding that even funnier.
She handed the keys to Danny and he unlocked himself. He grabbed his clothes off the floor and quickly put them on. "She must have been special if you got a suite at the Plaza for her." Baez said sitting down on the bed. "Yeah, I really thought she was." He said disappointed. "Sorry it didn't work out." She said finally being sincere. "It's fine. Just means she wasn't the one for me." He replied sitting beside her. "Do you wanna stay and watch a movie or something with me? I might as well get my money's worth out of this room." He asked putting his arm around her. She nodded. They layed down on the bed and snuggled into each other. Maria spoke up. "I'm sorry I laughed, Danny. You were probably scared and I came in here making fun of you." She said with her head down. "It's fine. It was pretty damn funny, wasn't it?" Danny said with a breathy laugh. "Yeah, it was." She said with the same laugh he had given her. "Thank you for coming to get me." He said in a soft tone kissing her on top of the head. She turned around and looked into his eyes. He gave her a confused look. She straddled his lap and grabbed his face. He put his arms on her waist and she planted her lips on his. Their kiss was slow at first, but began to escalate.
