Izuku was not having a good day. His childhood friend, er prior friend, had just taken his blindfold. Ever since he got his quirk Bakugo thought Izuku looked down on him. In fact it was quite the opposite really, Izuku believed Katsuki was going to be a great hero, sad that everyone believed him to be a villain. Sighing as he walked he bumped into a very well dressed man. "A-ah sorry!" He said stuttering it out looking at the floor before he felt his quirk activate.
He didn't mean for it to but sometimes it just does. Feeling his shoes burst into atoms he sighed and opened his eyes reconstructing them in front of his feet. Slipping them back on he calmed down before bowing before the man, who he swear he had seen before somewhere. Wait, this was Nighteye, All Might's oldest sidekick who went off on his own three years ago! "O-oh I am sorry Sir Nighteye! C-could I-i have y-your autograph? He asked quickly fishing his notebook no 10 from his bag. "It hasn't been that long since I went solo, what's your name?" Night eye asked signing the book in a very neat cursive trying to process what he saw happen to the boys shoes. "I-izuku Midoriya, sir!" He sputtered out killing some of the theories from Sir Nighteye's mind, though the biggest one was nagging at his head.
After getting his autograph Izuku was hyper beyond belief. Checking his phone he widened his eyes in shock. "Oh no I need to get home to ma, see you Sir!" He said running off before Nighteye got to ask him his question. Sighing the hero returned to his route as Izuku ran the direction the pro came from previously.
"Mom I'm home!" He called out as he kicked the floor softly knocking his shoe lose from his foot. Taking them off he put them down neatly with his mother's shoes. Hearing the greeting from his mother he grabbed the spare blindfold he kept by the door to put on. It wasn't uncommon for Katsuki to burn his notebooks and blindfolds, but it was annoying. Izuku had done a few odd jobs for Mitsuki and Masaro in order to get some money for replacement costs. Although they thought they were for All Might merchandise. Only his mother knew that he replaced them so often, so after a particularly awful day she would try to cheer him up.
Sighing Inko looked at Izuku, her baby boy was growing by the hour but still didn't fight back. "Izuku, I may let you go to that Dojo you always insist on after all, but remember-" "No using my quirk unless I am in dire situations." He said joining in hearing this for about the thousandths time already. "It's okay mom, I have good control over my quirk compared to other 13 year olds!" He said huffing. He knew the dangers and watched as his mother sighed. "I know Izu, it's just I worry over here." She said as she was making dinner, chicken curry to be exact. Izuku smiled and hugged her side. "You won't have to, because I am here!" He said in an enthusiastic tone as he said the catchphrase of his favorite hero; All Might. His room was filled with his merchandise, and he had about 15 pages front to back filled with All Might.
-Somewhere on a building-
A man who looks deathly starved suddenly started sneezing heavily. "I think I might be getting sick." He said rubbing his nose with a white hankerchief.
-Back with our young lad two weeks later-
Izuku's body was on fire as he was panting heavily on the floor. "Ow." He moaned out sitting up off the floor, his self defense instructor laughing a bit. "I think that is enough for now Midoriya, go ahead and cool down and then head out." She said pointing to the showers. Nodding he held his side and walked to the showers to take a quick one before leaving for home. He loved the classes he got, but he swears his instructor loved seeing him in pain. His mother made it crystal clear that if she was allowing Izuku to learn martial arts he was starting with Self Defense and not Offense. Izuku didn't care as it was still progress to being a hero.
On his walk home he went to a crepe stand and got a vanilla one. A lot of people said he was plain, besides his ball park of a quirk, but he didn't get it. Sighing he sat down and rubbed his aching side. His mentors quirk was Bruise stopping. It could stop a bruise from forming but the pain would still be there, and he found out that is why she doesn't have many lawsuits from crazy parents.
It was astounding how many people wanted to sue the lady despite all the paperwork, and lack of evidence people have against them. It is like some people are born to be stupid. Speaking of stupid...
"Deku!" Izuku heard between loud stomps as he got up. Sighing he looked at Katsuki who was fully intent on punching him. Hearing firecrackers his body reacted on new instincts as he tossed up his crepe. Everything seemed to slow down as he grabbed Kastuki's wrist brought him forward and grabbed his neck with his other hand. Knowing that something was coming from above he violently trust his hands out letting go of Katsuki's wrist and pushing him forward by his neck. Reaching his hand up he grabbed the crepe by the paper and slowed the momentum so it didn't get ruined.
Finally realizing what he did he dropped the half eaten crepe and booked it. Taking advantage of Katsuki's stunned attitude, Izuku was out of there before the blond even stood up to process what happened.
Sorry that the Prologue was so short I am going to try and get everything at around 1k words. That is just how I work.
