For the past few weeks, Satanick kept pestering Zero to let him help with the war, and to have sex with him. Zero kept denying him and his advances, sometimes rather violently. But today was strange, Satanick wasn't asking the usual questions, just silently listening to Zero's announcements. She looked at Satanick, and raised an eyebrow.
"Alright, what are you doing?" Zero asked, after she turned off the broadcasting system.
"Hm? Oh I was just listening to you talk." Satanick explained, his tone completely different. Even the way he sat, he was calm and collected. It made Zero blush a little, but she nonetheless still brushed Satanick off.
"Well, you should know that the Flame Devil is coming down here to assist me in something." She explained, and Satanick gasped, his normal demeanour back.
"IVLIS IS COMING HERE?!!!!" Satanick screamed, which prompted Zero to harshly shove him out of the way.
"You had better not fuck this up. Being on good terms means I can use his resources to help with the war." Zero snapped, her heels clicking against the stone. Her heavy footfall meant she was pissed. Satanick looked at her, confused.
"But Ivlis barely has anything! Why would you want him?" He scrambled to his feet to catch up to Zero.
"I'm not telling you, you'll go bragging about it or just outright say my plans when seduced or something." She snapped, glaring at the other devil. Satanick whined, and kept pestering Zero about it.

Ivlis looked around at the town he was in. Multiple glares were shot his way, and Licorice poofed into an adult.
"... mother I don't trust this place." Licorice told Ivlis. The Flame Devil sighed.
"I know.. just.. I'm sure Zero didn't order people to attack us." Ivlis assured, taking a few steps and almost tripping on a stray rock. Licorice caught him at the last moment and helped him stand, before heading towards the looming castle. Ivlis looked over at the glowing temple across the Valley of Souls, blinking.
"Are.. are we supposed to go there?" He wondered out loud, staring to wander towards it. Someone, however, cleared his throat which stopped Ivlis in his tracks. He looked over where the sound came from, and there stood Zero.
"No, you're not. That's Orez's temple." Zero briefly explained.
"So, you don't rule an underworld?" Ivlis asked.
"No. This world wasn't created with one. It was meant to be something Orez could toy with." Zero explained. "In any case, do you mind taking a walk with m—"
"IVVVVVLIIIIIIIIIIS~~~~~~~!!" Satanick came barreling down the steps and fell into the ground. Zero sucked in an annoyed breath.
"I thought I told you to stay inside the castle!!" Zero barked, his wings unfolding just slightly. Licorice stood a bit in front of Ivlis.
"You're housing him?" Lico asked Zero, his stare cold. Zero looked right back at Licorice, completely unaffected.
"Not by choice. He refuses to leave and I can't get him to stay away for longer than an hour." Zero explained.
"Cause I like being around you!!!!" Satanick grinned. "And eventually you'll recognize my magnificence!!"
"No I won't you absolute skank!!!" Zero snapped, his imposing wings suddenly completely unfolding on instinct. Ivlis suddenly longed to properly feel his wings once more, but he brushed that aside and cleared his throat.
"We can't really do anything with him around." He stated.
"I'm well aware." Zero grabbed Satanick and tossed him across the courtyard. He dusted off his hands and his wings folded back behind him. He turned back to Ivlis, and started speaking on official business.

Satanick was caught by a waiting Jekill and Hide, who set him down and turned to leave, before Satanick called out to them.
"HEY! Why does Zero have a stick up his ass?" He stood up and got closer to the two generals.
"Well, he's fighting a war right now. And everyone's counting on him to win. You can't expect him to be happy all the time, especially since you came at one of the most stressful times." Hide explained, stepping back so he was a little bit away from Satanick.
"So how come he doesn't ask me for help?" Satanick tilted his head.
"He doesn't ask because he doesn't need your help. Especially not with how loud your mouth is." Jekill informed. "Now, we'll be going. I'd recommend you stay out of Zero's way for the remainder of the day." The last sentence was said as the two generals left Satanick alone at the edge of the courtyard. Satanick looked up at the sky, it was always night here. It casted a soft blue hue on everything, but across the Valley of Souls, Satanick could see something that should be blinding. He assumed that's where this Orez chick lived. It was honestly ugly, Satanick much preferred Zero's domain.

Suddenly, a loud explosion of light bursted through the wall that surrounded the town. Zero had to cut short the meeting with Ivlis to check on everyone. He flew into the air and zoomed towards the explosion. He summoned his sword, and pointed it at Orez, who stood in the clearing.
"Never thought you'd be bold enough to destroy the wall." Zero snapped.
"And you are just as predictable. Defending these pathetic creatures, I dare not believe I was the one who created them. And yet, even my angels leave me. You have something to do with it, and I'm here to rectify that." A flash of light appeared and morphed into a trident. The handle, texture, and colour was similar to Zero's double helix sword, but only the handle was the shape of two helixes intertwined. Zero landed and pointed his sword at her, before rushing into an attack. He yelled in a demonic language only known by his generals and army, and that made Orez angrier.
"How dare you speak in demonic tongues! You, a mere fallen angel?! You're pathetic!!" Orez snapped, insulting Zero and trying to get under his skin as she thrusted her trident at him.
"I'm pathetic? I'm not the angel parading around as if she were a god!" Zero blocked the blow and kicked underneath Orez. He wasn't able to kick her down, however she was able to push him into the ground. He let go of his sword, to which Orez stabbed his arm into the ground. She summoned another sharp blade, to which she raised it, and made the movement to stab it into Zero's chest.
